Kenny Gattison Rumors

It’s possible Jeff Hornacek’s replacement is helping the Utah Jazz at Zions Bank Basketball Center this week. Kenny Gattison, a former NBA player and coach, was invited to assist the Jazz with an ongoing free agent mini-camp, raising questions about his potential for ending up with the organization. Utah has had a vacant assistant coach position since Hornacek was hired as the Suns head coach two weeks ago, making Gattison’s involvement with the Jazz all the more interesting.
The Atlanta Hawks have named Kenny Gattison as an assistant coach, according to Executive Vice President/General Manager Rick Sund. Per team policy, the terms were not disclosed. “I’m excited about the opportunity to join Larry Drew’s staff here in Atlanta,” Gattison said. “They have a young and talented, yet experienced nucleus that won 53 games last year. I look forward to helping our players improve individually and collectively.”
