What was supposed to be a night of celebration for two former Indiana Pacers may not happen. Former ABA Pacers great Mel Daniels missed today’s Hall of Fame press conference with an illness and his status for Friday’s induction ceremony is uncertain.
The members of the Pacers’ three ABA championships will be honored during the regular-season finale against the Chicago Bulls. The surviving members of the 1970, ’72 and ’73 teams have been invited to the halftime ceremony. Mel Daniels, who will go into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in September, will get a special recognition that night. Read more ›
