One of New Jersey’s legendary basketball courts is getting a makeover. East Orange officials are set to announce today a project to refurbish the court at Elmwood Park. In the 1960s and 70s, the court was a magnet for top college and professional players. Among those who played there were NBA stars Julius “Dr. J.” Erving, Earl “The Pearl” Monroe and Nate “Tiny” Archibald.
