Pallacanestro Cantu Rumors
Former NBA player Sebastian Telfair has agreed to a deal with Italian side Auxilium Cus Torino, a source told Sportando. Telfair had contacts with Pallacanestro Cantù and Cedevita Zagreb in the past weeks but Torino was the strongest team on him. Telfair’s latest experience was in China during 2014-2015 season.
Pallacanestro Cantù general manager Daniele Della Fiori said that Metta World Peace will not return to the team next season. Cantù was trying to re-sign the former NBA champion for one more year but Metta World Peace asked for more time to decide. Cantù will try to sign another forward instead of Metta World Peace.
According to Internet reports Arroyo, who is a free agent, has been named as a possible candidate to join the club Pallacanestro Cantu. However, when Primera Hora contacted Arroyo yesterday, he said via text message: “I don’t know anything about that rumor. I don’t know what to say, I’m on vacation.”
After Nenad Kristic’s depart for Russia weeks ago, it may be the turn for another Celtics free agent to leave for Europe. According to some reports, Arroyo is in contacts with an Italian squad: Yesterday it was learned that the Italian Club Pallacanestro Cantu seems to have a great interest in the Puerto Rican point guard who was released on 30 June. The player’s agent, Ricardo Carrillo said Arroyo is preparing to return to the Island (Puerto Rico) in the coming days but that he did not mention anything about the possibility of playing in Europe “He said he is making arrangements to come here. But do not say anything on a team. I am not surprised by what may happen because the NBA lockout has made many players contemplate Europe as an option, “he said.
