Rolando Blackman Rumors

The Mavericks announced tonight they plan to retire Derek Harper’s #12 jersey on January 7, 2018 vs. the New York Knicks. He joins Brad Davis (#15) and Rolando Blackman (#22) as the only Mavericks to have their jerseys hung in the rafters. “Like every Mavs fan around the world, we are proud of Derek and everything he has done and continues to do for Mavs fans,” said Owner Mark Cuban. “His contributions can’t be overestimated. We are excited that he will join Ro and Brad in the rafters as we retire number 12 forever.”
Jason Kidd is the latest Dallas Mavericks player to be considered for the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. The nominees for the 2016 Class were announced earlier this month. Voting members of the organization determine the enshrinees, who will be announced in September. Mavericks already enshrined include Rolando Blackman.
A former NFL player and Dallas Cowboy has filed a lawsuit in a Dallas County court against former Dallas Maverick and All-Star Rolando Blackman, who he says convinced the cornerback to invest in a faulty African gold venture. The former NFL player, Nathaniel Jones, met Blackman and fellow defendant David Mureeba, chief executive of a tech company, through “friends and contacts,” according to the lawsuit filed this week.
