Source close to Rose says Rose is "absolutely on board" with returning to play this season and Rose "expects to be fine." Depends on rehab.
Been told Rose's surgery lasted roughly 10 minutes and that he had no swelling before. Compared to pebble in shoe. Now removed, pain-free.

This will be a push all the chips on the table moment for the #1. The window is this year, and it's even a window that LeBron is closing.
Basically, Rose has the rest of the season to get ready for John Wall in the first round of the playoffs.
Gar says they really try to be "transparent.'' They were so transparent on Wednesday night they couldn't be found.
Gar: "We'll be as transparent as we can be [in regards to Rose's rehab]."
Disappointed if Rose doesn't play? Gar says it will depend on how the rehab process goes. A lot of bob-and-weave.
Forman says all obviously depends on rehabilitation.

The expectation is that Rose will return to get some regular season games in.

If Rose returns in 4 weeks, he could play in 9 regular-season games. If he returns in 6, he could play in the final 3.
