Snelly Cat looking to had free safety to his resume.
E. Moore's birthday being completely overshadowed by Noah's. Just not right.
Not a high scoring game. Bulls seem a little shell-shocked. So is the crowd for sure
Showing Jordan '88 Dunk Contest highlights. Brah wouldn't even sniff the finals in this year's contest.
Bulls without Rose; Hornets without Kemba Walker. Good luck on anyone scoring 80. 28-26 Hornets w/8:20 left in 2nd qtr
Summer League Tony just showed up!
Happy BDay Joakim... celebrate with a ball that is 5 feet over the rim!
Bulls 20-20 ---Brooks with 9. Butler 5pts 4 reb. Gasol with with 6pts 4 reb.
....Thank you Melo, for remaining the second-most selfish man in basketball to Kobe Bryant. Thank you.
It took nearly the entire quarter for Jimmy Butler to get a shot up, it was a tip dunk +foul. I’m sure that’ll change
Just imagine, if Melo would have said yes, the Bulls would have about $35 million of bad knee sitting on the bench right now....
Fan behind me: “Stephen A Smith says we’re irrelevant! Don’t give up on us!"
Seats are filling up .... because the Hinrich has entered the game!
Bulls 17-14 2:12 Bulls 53%
Snelly Cat into the game.
Bulls will just pack the paint on Big Al. Will dare anyone to beat them from the outside
There’s opportunity for Aaron Brooks to do his thing. D.J. Augustin and Nate Rob took advantage of their opportunities
Brooks in 2nd start of season 7 pts and a block with Bulls ahead 13-6 midway in first; not too late to go for all-NBA first team
Brooks and Gasol=13 points Bulls up 13-6 5:57 1st Q
Quite a bench for the Hornets -- Bob Weiss, Mark Price and Patrick Ewing are assistant coaches.
Brooks going into full "D.J. Augustin saved our season" mode.
Either a late arriving crowd or courtside seat protest over Rose injury. http://t.co/oM2Gbb5XMZ
Feel like I'm covering the Sox again.
Plenty of good sections left here at the UC.
The most empty I've seen the UC all year to start a game. How bad is the weather out there?
United Center looks half empty ... guess there's no going down with the ship for Bulls fans.
Joakim Noah takes Rose's place as the last player introduced during introductions.

Also, this is not definitive (and sounds like Rose's call) but surgery expected sooner rather than later and could be as early as Friday.
Belief growing that Rose's meniscus tear is not as significant as Nov. 2013. Won't know until surgery but could be small cartilage tear.
It will be either Dr. Brian Cole, with the scope, in the Gold Coast Surgicenter ... or Col Mustard, with the knife, in the Conservatory.
Brooks, Butler, Gasol, Noah, Dunleavy - your new-look starting five!
Brooks, Butler, Dunleavy, Noah and Gasol represents Bulls' 18th different lineup this season.
Why did Thibs go with Brooks over Hinrich? The guess is that Thibs knows Hinrich's body can't withstand 35+ minutes a night anymore.
Bulls front office on the Rose injury - " .'' Thanks Bulls front office.
Having said that, Hinrich was averaging 28 minutes a game most of the year, so it's not like he hasn't played big minutes.

When asked about Nate Robinson, Thibs said Gar and Pax will talk to players. "I'm sure we'll be hearing from a lot of people."
Hinrich: "I'm still shocked. For this to happen is devastating."
Eerily similar feel to November 2013 from Rose's teammates. Trying to remain positive, but obviously shocked by news.
Joakim Noah, who turns 30 today on same day Jerry Reinsdorf 79, declined to talk to reporters.
Bulls doc Brian Cole will perform the surgery on Rose. He did the prior two surgeries as well.
Thibs in a rare show of emotion: "it's not fair."
Hinrich and Gibson are expected to play tonight.
Noah not talking.

Thibodeau said team physician Brian Cole will perform procedure.
Thibs says Bulls knew second meniscus tear could happen -- and it did. Says there is no timeline yet.
