That wasn't a bad pass by Rose in traffic. Just really good positioning by the Nuggets.
Butler isn't afraid of contact -- and is playing 40+ minutes a night -- but to do this over 80 games would be very, very impressive.
Gasol talked last night about how it will be tough for Butler to maintain high level of consistency all year by playing so many minutes.
Timeout, as the Nuggets scurry for some kryptonite.
Denver maintains 9 point lead 47-38 545 left 2nd
Rose coming back in, with Dunleavy and Pau.
Niko is the friendlies fouler in the NBA. Every foul comes with a hug and an apology.
Some dude in an MJ jersey on Hinrich: "His defense is fine. His offense is awful."
Most NBA stars play 35 minutes a night. Rose only needs 25 to completely dazzle you.
Bulls with shots in at least half dozen possessions as clock running out. Turns out Thibs mistakenly had four corners offense in game plan
Nuggets 37-30--846 left 1st
Would pay to watch Brooks and Nate play one-on-one, game to 12, no make-it-take-it.
Great left hand by Niko ... Rose would have dunked it.
Nothing says holiday like a walk-through.
Thibs has just cancelled Thanksgiving dinner for his team. Instead, a special film session in the hotel ballroom.
No Rose to start the second. Heroes only play in the fourth.
Bairstow did a nice job in opening quarter
31-21 after one ... not good. Bulls down 10, and defense has been optional.
Denver 31-21 after 1 Lawson 7 dimes Butler with 10 points
Rose is sitting right now, he's studying.
Chest contusion be damned - Hinrich still playing grimy ...
Now Nazr and Niko up front. Some interesting lineups
In all fairness, Rose is not used to playing 50,000 feet above sea level. It throws off his defense.
Gasol/Bairstow probably not Bulls best defensive lineup. Nuggets shooting 63% late in first
All Denver ..The Manimal with 9 points Nuggets 28-19 232 left 1st
Rose's warm-up is a great fit. Snug, but in a flattering way.
Rose slapping hands with all his teammates. Team guy. And has that chair on the bench on lockdown. It's not moving.
All positive Rose talk, rest of the night. Promise.
Kiss the sky, Jimmy!
Tonight when it's tweeted that Lawson was man-handling Rose, it's hatin'. Can't have it both ways. Facts are facts.
Memo: Yesterday it was tweeted how Rose had Burke in the fetal position in that first quarter. No one said boo.
Lawson going to the bank dropping 6 dimes for the Nuggets
Nuggets 19-14 547 left 1st...6 each for Butler and Gasol
Lawson working Rose right now.
Nuggets controlling the tempo early. Not a good early sign for Bulls. Denver racing up and down the floor getting whatever they want.
Bairstow just called for being Australian
Nuggets just got Pau-ed!
Thibs made it very loud and clear before this game that a lot of the elevator music on injuries is causing what Butler's doing to be "lost."
"Gimme that candy, D-Rose.'' Robbed in Denver.
Bulls starter Cameron Bairstow (for resting Noah) has played in 3 of 14 games this season, total of 12 mins with 1 pt, no FGs. G'day mate?
I never thought Rose and Bairstow -- on the floor together -- would be on the verge of leading the Bulls to a W, but here we are.
Put Nate Robinson down for 18 right now.
Bulls - Nuggets http://t.co/i5KDvxbSBp
Bairstow gets the nod. Expect some physical play.
Bairstow first NBA start.
Bulls PR says Cameron Bairstow is starting in place of Noah tonight.
Most expensive media pregame meal I've ever seen here tonight: $15. Featured item? Sloppy Joes. Where is best late night burger in Denver?
If you re attending tonight s Bulls game send me a Twitter pic and i ll retweet it. Go Bulls!
Have a feeling that by the time the Bulls get to Boston, Thibs could be simply grunting when asked questions.
Small probably doesn't work against Denver, with Mozgov and Faried in there.
Back in the day. The old Nuggets logo circa Alex English http://t.co/Ey4M3wBnR5
Thibs said Noah had knee effusion, on top of getting poked in the eye last night.
Mayo Clinic defines knee effusion as: "Water on the knee is a general term for excess fluid accumulation in or around your knee joint."
Why does he have to do cryotherapy? Pain in the knee and inflammation.
One of the causes of that is ligament problems. Guess what has been known to mess with ligaments? Cryotherapy, which Noah has to do a lot.
A quick medical update on Noah, and why you should be concerned. He's out with left knee effusion ... water on the knee.
"..else ... C'mon. Jesus.'' The Thibs.
Then comes the beauty, when Thibs was asked about playing in the altitude - "It's beautiful... I mean what... it's like playing everywhere..
The correction came from a reporter that said, "You mean ankle?'' Thibs snaps back, "Yeah.''
Poor Thibs. He rules Taj Gibson out - considering Gibson is in Chicago - pretty obvious. Then says it's a knee.
Thibs says Noah is out knee/eye. Hinrich is in. Gibson still in Chicago and Thibs says he's still day to day. Rose and Gasol will play.
Joakim is out...left knee and left eye. Kirk is a go.
Hinrich on the court now, seeing if that chest will allow him to play.
Welcome to Bulls ball http://t.co/6lGpLgkFVc
Updated injury release from Bulls: Noah left eye/left knee is questionable. Rose&Gasol are probable. Hinrich is questionable. Gibson is out.
Seven-footer Hassan Whiteside's free agent deal with the Miami Heat: two years, including partial guarantees, sources tell RealGM.
Joakim Noah (left eye, left knee)-questionable
Noah questionable (eye).
New injury update: Noah questionable vs. Nuggets with that eye injury and left knee. That's the one Bulls surgically repaired.
Today is International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Let’s embrace a society without violence against women.
For those that love the new NBA injury protocol - Rose and Gasol (probable), Hinrich (questionable), Gibson (out and out of town).
Rose (left hamstring strain)-probable Gasol (left calf strain)-probable Hinrich (chest contusion)-questionable Gibson ( ankle sprain)-out
It just seems important to mention that the Milwaukee Bucks have a better record than the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Wheels down Denver. Bulls - Nuggets 730 CT pre Bulls Radio Network ESPN 1000
There can't be many more lonelier walks than after a game in Salt Lake City. It's always cold and there aren't many people around.
Thibs has been pretty consistent about wanting Rose on the floor since camp opened. Tonight was just the most open he's been about it.
Wheels up headed to Denver. Go Bulls !
Exasperated Thibs on whether Rose&Gasol would be able to play in Denver tomorrow night: I would hope so. Jeez. We'll see tomorrow, I guess."
...“I would hope so … geez. We’ll see tomorrow, I guess.'' Thibs.
Thibs quote of the night. Asked if he thinks Rose and Pau can go back-to-back with game in Denver tomorrow ...
"...and that’s how he practices, that’s how he plays.'' Doesn’t take any possessions off. He’s into it and it shows.’’ Thibs on Butler.
Thibs definitely not hiding who his favorite kid is these days: "He plays at an incredibly high intensity level all the time ... ''
Thibs: "When Derrick strings some games together he's going to take off. He's got to go. That's the bottom line. He's got to go."
