Can't imagine them calling this a flagrant on Nate after review. LeBron jerked his head to make it look worse. I've been wrong before.
Flagrant was the call on the floor.
Nate hasn't shot it in a while. Don't know if the Bulls can win a 4thQ without him.
It's starting to get very chippy here....81-80 Bulls 659 left 4th
Officials reviewing Nate foul on Bron.
Bad foul by Taj...reckless closeout
Not surprised to see Taj, who's played very limited minutes tonight...Jo hasn't given them much on offense
Miami cuts it to three early in fourth. Fans excited and apply more Banana Boat sun tan lotion
What is the Heat mascot? Never really paid attention to it until just now.
Heat in transition...Bulls 77-74 10min left. Heat on a 10-2 run
Was about to point out Battier was 6-for-25 for series from 3-pt range, then he finally hit one.
Miami cuts it to 3...Bulls timeout
That "respect for the game" deal only applies to certain players, I guess.
Rip's not happy...got hit in the mask prior to the walk/tie-up
Shane Battier has missed a lot of clean looks in this series.
Also, will Thibs give anyone a rest? Booz, Butler, Noah, Nate played whole 3rdQ.
The Bulls have played free and easy after a tough start. Will they hang onto to this 8 point 4th quarter lead? Somebody has to score late.
Bulls plus-11 on boards and Heat have just 4 fast-break points.
Biggest key to the Bulls holding on is not letting Heat get confidence on break. Miami still just 4 fast-break pts.
Bulls lead 77-69 at end of 3Qs. Boozer has 23 & 11; Butler 19, Nate 16, Hamilton 11. Two days ago, who thought we'd even see Rip again?
Bulls 77-69 end of 3-----thoughts on the 4th quarter...oh, thanks for listening too!
Heat reserves shooting one of nine with Andersen tattoos starting to distract them. At least that's their story
Bulls 68-63 243 left 3rd....Bulls trailed by as many as 18 in 1st Q
Bulls lead rebounds 32-21; Boozer 9, Noah 8. Offensive boards are 12-4.
Heat bench effective in the series but 1-10 fgs tonight Bulls 68-63 243 left 3rd
4 on Bosh.
Bosh drives as he ventures into paint for first time. Had been told there were alligators in there
So impressive how Butler can score from outside and driving to hoop. 2nd year guy who wasn't even a scorer in college. He's got 19 tonight.
People do realize that Jimmy is going head-to-head with the league MVP and coming out even tonight, right?
1 leg fades.
Possible someone stole LeBron James' socks and he's pouting? Has 5 shots midway into third. Maybe he has Thursday reservations at Gibson's
Bulls did an exceptional job attacking the cup staying with the play Boozer and Butler=36pts
That last possession showed how this game is going. Bulls get 3 off rebs before Noah scores off nice pass from Nate. Bulls up 63-54 mid 3rd.
Bulls give themselves about four chances at the rim and convert. Boozer picks up a T for arguing. Bulls have gone from down 18 to up 9.
Carlos hit with a T after all that....still, Bulls ended up with the bucket, Heat timeout, Bulls up 9
Tech on Boozer...Bulls up 63-54 723 left 3rd
Boozer Td up.
Boozer got a tech
Jimmy with stepbacks over athletics bigs.
Chalmers just shot a layup that went over backboard as he apparently had watched the JaVale McGee instructional video
I know Wade's trying with his knee problems, but you have to go at him every time as he can't cover anyone.
Marco on the board with a trey.
Alaska on Alaska crime...Rio over Los
Marco starts the 3rd.
With Robinson with 14 in first half, Hall of Fame holding off scoreless Norris Cole's induction at least for another half
Bulls up six and just 10-for-15 from the line.
If Bulls win this game I'm buying Bill a Mr. Pibb
Bulls playing with tons of heart folks...proud to rep Chicago !
Bulls lead pts in paint 20-14. Fast-break pts are 4-4 and Bulls have more FTAs 15-13.
Boozer with 19 in half; Robinson closes 53-47 Bulls first half with three and 14 pojnts, showing short people do have short memories
Nate for 3. Bulls at half 53-47
Well, that game turned around in a hurry. Bulls went from down 22-4 to leading 53-47 at half. Boozer 19 pts, Nate 14, Butler 12.
Great half for the Bulls. They recovered nicely after a slow start and lead 53-47. They really do love the role of underdog.
This makes 11 free throws in last 4 mins for Bulls. Talk about upsets.
LeBron called for offensive! Congressional committees adding that to IRS investigation
2nd foul on LeBron. Home fans are stunned.
Heat trailing by one late in half, but Spoelstra says Wade really has a good plus/minus
Bulls 44-43 Boozer with 15
Bosh with 3 fouls.
Nathaniel's back...Bosh making an impact, stretching the D
How about Thibs cleverly holding off Hamilton and keeping his legs fresh until vital Game 5
Rip with the nice D in transition.
Who thinks I'm going to the 2nd day of the predraft combine in the Chi (Friday) and who thinks I'll be at Game 6 shootaround?
Nate's back to thinking Peter Pan thoughts.
That's a 34-14 run for the Bulls as they take the lead on a Butler 3-pointer.
The Bulls aren't going down without a fight. Butler knocks down another triple and the Bulls take the lead. A lot of pride on that bench.
Bulls have their 1st lead of the night...Kirk is smiling
LeBron in another one of his I'll let the guys handle it games like Game 1 and Bulls take 38-36 lead
Bulls take first lead on Butler 3-pointer.
Heat started 22-4...Bulls have gone 29-14 since
Miami's gone on cruise control..Bulls playing better in half court sets
...Rip came off the bench, had 14, 8 dimes, 0 turnovers
Heat 36-33 541...Heat
Correct me if I'm wrong, but last regular-season game Rip played big minutes was vs. NY in Chicago, when Bulls snapped Knicks' streak...
I have a lot of respect for Thibs as a coach, but the sitting Rip thing, while I know/kinda understand his reasoning, was a huge mistake.
Thibs' decision not to use Rip more reminds me of when he decided not to use Kurt Thomas in 2011 playoffs. Why not give them a few more min?
There's no reason that Daequan Cook should've been playing over Richard Hamilton. That's on Thibodeau.
Rip and those pull-ups...best thing about it is Marco clapping from the bench
Bulls cut it to 32-28 three minutes into second quarter. Is that Chris Bosh I see wiping away a tear?
Heat cooled off in a hurry after starting 6-for-6. Miami has gone 5-for-15 since then and Bulls are within 32-28 after trailing 22-4.
Bulls trail 32-28---911 left 1st half...
Bulls cut it to 4 after Nate completes 3-point play.
Rip confident going at Allen because of their history...same with Wade
The Bulls didn't win the first quarter.
Score was 18-2 when Bulls got it to Boozer for the first time.
Heat 30-21 end of 1...Boozer with 12. /James 10pts 61% for Heat Bulls 55%
Bulls were down 22-4, have it back to 30-21 at end of 1stQ. Boozer 12 pts, 6-7 FGs. Why did it take 5 1/2 mins for him to get 1st shot?
Lull 'em into false sense of security strategy working. Bulls cut 18-2 deficit to 30-21 after one quarter. Boozer with a dozen.
Boozer has been solid early for the Bulls. He's got 12 points and has been much more aggressive than earlier in this series.
LeBron called for foul. Official explanation clear path review, but refs calling Board of Governors to see if foul call on LeBron allowed
THIS JUST IN.....James picks up a foul....his 1st foul since 1st quarter of game 2
That's LeBron James' first personal foul in close to 12 quarters.
Noah picks up yet another T. I didn't think he earned that one. Jo's going to be cutting a nice check to the league after the playoffs.
Jo hit with a T...Carlos separates him from ref Bennett Salvatore, who looked like he was about his biz when I saw him in the hotel earlier
Noah teched up---really?
Nate's streak is over. He hits a 3, but Bennett Salvatore throws the Heat a bone by giving Noah a tech
