Strickland is yelling and gesturing at KC's bench
Strickland cave-in. Wow.
Strickland ... Why he is in for critical spots, I don't get it
And as I type that, I see Affeldt starting to loosen up in the pen.
Nobody else throwing in the SFG pen. This is up to Strickland for now. Infante-Moustakas after Perez.
Strickland vs. Perez now. Thought Bochy might do it this way.
Just disrespected Ishikawa's arm. Cain wasn't even at third when Ishi got it, still got waved home
Gore pinch-running for Butler. Here they go.
It'll be Lopez to face Gordon.
Strickland up with Lopez in the SFG pen.
Machi in. I think Bochy will go to Lopez vs. Gordon, so this is probably a one-batter appearance for Machi.
Wonder if Bochy goes righty (Machi vs. Butler) lefty (Lopez vs. Gordon) after Hosmer here.
Looks like machi and lopez throwing in SFG pen
That was some nasty stuff from Herrera.
If Sandoval hits a double here, I don't think Posey's going to try to score. Just a thought.
Dyson in CF, Cain moves to RF, Aoki out.
Admirable outing from Peavy
10 in a row fo rPeavy.
Going to assume the BBQ in San Francisco is better than the dim sum in Kansas City.
KC needs Ventura to last a lot longer than SFGs' need Peavy. No Duffy available. Giants have everybody.
28 pitches in the last 3 innings for Peavy.
That's 7 in a row retired by Peavy. Of course it is.
Third base was briefly wide open, which is why Belt thought about going. He's not fast enough to think those thoughts, though.
What happened to the Royals outfield????
Mark Gardner just had a quick talk with Petit in the SFG bullpen, but still nobody throwing.
The Royals have more doubles (3) than swing-and-misses (2).
Just 11 pitches in that inning for Peavy--the Royals are SWINGING.
Righetti out... gotta figure one more hit and Petit will start throwing. So far still nothing in bullpen.
Nobody stirring in SFG pen. Yet.
Fast infield tonight.
Both pitchers got hit solidly in the 1st, both threw 20 pitches.
Single, fly ball, double, walk, single off of Peavy so far. He's not fooling 'em.
Great tag by Panik. Don't know if he got him, but the short-hop tag got the call.
Of course Blanco homers. I'm in traffic and didn't watch it
Not always a barometer of much, but Ventura was all over the place in his warm-up pitches just now.
Lincecum was out for the national anthem. Yes. Him.
Brandon Rush said the rookies did a terrible job signing Happy Birthday to Festus Ezeli and might have to do it again at the open practice.

Stephen Curry sends a "wink, wink" to Joe Lacob and Bob Myers after saying he hopes to keep playing with Klay Thompson.
Stephen Curry on the backcourt: "hopefully we can keep that going, wink wink."
Andre Iguodala: "Festus was like dead for two years, so I was excited to see him come back to life last night."
Andre Iguodala jokes: "Festus was like dead for two years." Says he's resurrected
David Lee: "They're thinking about doing a 30-for-30 on the worst chemistry in the history of the NBA from my rookie year in New York."
David Lee jokes they're going to do a 30 for 30 on the worst chemistry ever on the Knicks his rookie year.
Steve Kerr: "Last night we scored 125 points, shot 59 percent and had 79 turnovers."
Steve Kerr jokes the Warriors committed 79 turnovers last night.
Bob Fitzgerald: "If you have Ed Lee instead of David Lee, you're in trouble." Bob Myers laughs: "I don't know about that."
Bob Fitzgerald: "You don't win anything without talent. If you have Ed Lee instead of David Lee, you're in trouble."
Bumgarner had just won NLCS MVP. Sabean told the pitcher: "What the hell are you going to do when you grow up?' The guy's 25 years old."
Spoke to Brian Sabean about several topics yesterday. One snippet: On the podium after the NLCS victory, he was alone with Bumgarner...
Steve Kerr: "I'm a Southern Californian, but I love the Bay Area."
Bob Myers said when he was an agent, players didn't know where Golden State was located.
Bob Fitzgerald calls Bob Myers UCLA's human victory cigar.
Somebody pls tell SF Mayor Ed Lee: Those sports figurines are bobblehead dolls. Not Bobby-head dolls.
Ed Lee presented with a David Lee bobblehead and jersey. Ed Lee then calls David Lee his long lost brother.
Ed Lee to Warriors players: "You make us proud."
Ed Lee: "Go Ws!" As in "Go double u's!"
The Aftershock Drumline kicks in as the doors are opened to Warriors' Tip-off Luncheon. http://t.co/OHf01I8uIX
Warriors co-owners Joe Lacob & Peter Guber are in NYC for the Board of Governors meeting, so they recorded a video msg for the tipoff lunch.
Gotta go to a team luncheon so have to cut this short...will do this again soon tho ✌️
With about 30 minutes before it starts, here's the setup for the annual "Warriors Tip-off Lunch." http://t.co/heLDeuWHcf
Got some time for a Q&A....been a min since I've done one
The Warriors are considered the most fun team to watch by the GMs and have the third-best home-court advantage (behind OKC and DEN).
Alvin Gentry was selected by the GMs as the league's top assistant coach. Also on the Warriors' staff, Ron Adams, received a vote.
Andre Iguodala and Klay Thompson each received 7.1% of the vote as the NBA's best perimeter defender. LeBron James was No. 1 at 25%.
Steph Curry got one vote as the NBA's best PG and 7.4% of the votes for best SG. Klay Thompson got 18.5% for best SG. James Harden was No. 1
Klay Thompson tied with Andre Drummond for third place among players most likely to have a breakout 2014-15 season. Anthony Davis was No. 1.
In the GM survey, the Clippers got 81.5% of the votes to win the Pacific Division, with the Warriors following at 18.5%.
Mark Jackson: "You can take the 'think' out. He’s going to get it." ... Van Gundy: "You’re right, and he should. He’s that good."
Jeff Van Gundy: "Klay Thompson is w/o question a maximum-salary player. I think he’s going to get it. He’s going to get it from someone."
Mark Jackson on Klay Thompson possibly getting the max: "He's going to get it."
Michael Cooper is another -- team's best defender who came off bench. Tony Allen mostly starter.
If Iguodala comes off bench for Warriors, when was last time team's best defender didn't start? Bobby Jones, Philly, early '80s?
Lincecum & Cain were horses for Giants. For success to continue without them is a testament to Sabean's brilliance.
