Thursday, May 16
And Curry has 14 points on 6 of 10 shooting. You knew he wouldn't throw up another dud.
This might be all on Harrison Barnes tonight. Or mostly on him. He's the Warriors' best player so far, not by a little.
Anybody who Jarrett Jack guards scores.
Doesn't look like Bogut's coming in. Staying with Biedrins for now.
Andrew Bogut has rejoined the Warriors' bench after re-taping his ankle in the locker room.
Bogut's back on the sideline.
Bogut is re-taping his left ankle, the Warriors announce.
Warriors GM Bob Myers is heading back to the locker room, I would assume to check on Bogut.
SAS 33, GSW 25 (6:32 2nd) Stephen Curry just scored, so, of course, Gregg Popovich called a timeout. Curry has seven points on 3-of-7 FGA.
Curry looks to be in disbelief he didn't get the foul call
Spurs are able to run Klay off the 3-point line with impunity because Klay is missing layups at every opportunity. 0-5 FG.
Once again, the Warriors playing from behind. 33-23 Spurs, 6:44 left in first half
Lets go warriors!
Gary Neal is toasting Jarrett Jack like a Pop-Tart.
Biedrins coming in.
Bogut just jogged back to the Warriors' locker room tunnel.
Warriors going small. Barnes I guess at the 4, but he's also guarding Parker.
GSWs held their own without Bogut this time. He's back in.
Oops, SPURS have 9 assists on their 9 baskets. Warriors have 6 assists on their 8 baskets.
SAS 21, GSW 19 (end 1) Tim Duncan scored a quarter-high seven points and drew two personal fouls on Festus Ezeli. Harrison Barnes has 6 pts.
Warriors had 9 assists on their 9 baskets in the first period. Good ball movement, but they do look a little tense.
Draymond late-switch. He's in for Bogut.
Looks like Bogut's coming out, Ezeli in.
SAS 16, GSW 15 (2:51 1st) Harrison Barnes is defending Tony Parker full court, & Barnes has a team-high six points -- just for good measure.
How many straight games has Leonard gotten an easy basket posting up a Warriors guard
David Lee skips into the game.
Warriors loving the Curry/Barnes two-man game. Three buckets that way.
Barnes went through two solid screens chasing Parker. Last one, a hip check from Leonard
That Curry trey came off a screen-handoff by Harrison Barnes, who is growing exponentially in this series.
GSW 7, SAS 7 (6:53 1st) Tony Parker and Danny Green are arguing about why Stephen Curry just had an open look from three-point range.
Danny Green and Tony Parker are in strenuous disagreement as to who was at fault on Steph Curry's first 3 of the game.
Both teams a 3 of 8 with 3 turnovers
Curry finally went down on contact.
Spurs are scoring, but the GSWs' defensive energy is way up from Game 5, no question
Popovich praised Barnes' D before the game. Now Jackson has the rookie checking Parker.
Barnes starts on Parker
Duncan and Joey Crawford chatting away before the tip.
Lee and Jack getting the players hype before tip off
Game 6 starters: GSW -- Curry, Thompson, Barnes, Ezeli, Bogut; SAS -- Parker, Green, Leonard, Duncan, Splitter.
Crowd's fired up. Louder at the start than Games 3 or 4, I think.
Warriors looked a little nervous during pregame intros
Festus Ezeli is being announced as the starter. Carl Landry started the last two games
A lot of people are asking so I'll explain: GSW minority owner Vivek Ranadive is the probable new owner of the Sacramento Kings.
I had to move aside to let Jerry West and Kevin Johnson have a warm talk just now. I'm so polite!
Just tried to Tweet out another picture that I'm sure will show up around 4 p.m. Sunday.
GSW minority owner Vivek Ranadive getting a lot of media attention before the game. Gee, I wonder why?
But Lacob said that there should be no problems replacing Vivek Ranadive's share of the Warriors when/if Ranadive assumes SAC ownership.
Just saw Warriors co-owner Joe Lacob, who wouldn't reveal how he voted in Seattle relocation turn-down...
Warriors coach Mark Jackson says "when we win tonight," but says he's not guaranteeing victory bc he's "not Patrick Ewing."
Warriors coach Mark Jackson: "I coach a bounce-back team and I expect nothing short of that tonight."
This will be the first time this postseason that Tim Duncan and Joey Crawford will cross paths. Again: Set your DVRs for "fun."
Joey Crawford will lead tonight's crew (w/Sean Corbin, Derrick Stafford). This has the potential for great, great fun.
Nice power corridor outside Mark Jackson's office just now: MJax, Jeff Van Gundy, Mike Breen, Chris Mullin.
What do you say is the key to victory tonight for GSW?
Who's starting the @lesliemprboots account?
Listening to MJax from yesterday. He dropped a "They are who we thought they were" line. Too funny
But in 2005 and '06, Spurs were only 4-3 in clinch situations, including a loss at home in Game 7 to Dallas in '06 West semis.
Since start of 2007 playoffs (Spurs' last title), San Antonio is 9-1 when it has a chance to clinch a series. Same situation as tonight
Stephen Curry said he's ready to play a lot of minutes tonight
Bogut and Curry killed the Warriors on D. Wow
He has earned the clout, but Parker gets away with a lot of handchecking
Even when he posts Parker, he sets up 15 feet from basket and he is playing for turnaround J
Big reason Klay doesn't make layups: he usually isn't looking for layups. It's mostly a counter and not a goal.
Curry gets by Parker easy. He actually gets by Green, too. Green almost concedes drive by pressing so hard. I'd give Curry some iso action
Watching the replay, the high screen and roll with Duncan's man got Curry into space early. The screen and roll with Kawhi's man? Bad idea
Because I just realized I'm pretty old … This is the biggest Warriors' game tonight in many of your all lifetimes.
Warriors-Spurs Game 6 officials: Joe Crawford, Sean Corbin, Derrick Stafford... GSWs' first Joey game of the playoffs.
Wanna sell this dumba** car
"All Heart-Grit & Grind-Believe" just some Memphis ish...and now a day off to enjoy Memphis in May BBQ Fest... "Ain't it mane"
I'm a Warriors homer, obviously. That's me. OKC fans, you got me.
And now OKC fans are furious at me. Yeah, I know Westbrook was hurt. I was STATING A FACT. Clearly evil, though.
If Warriors force a Game 7, it will be Sunday at 12:30 pm on ABC
Sometimes people try to expose what's wrong because they can't handle what's right about you!!
Warriors survived longer in the postseason than OKC. That's something.
Obviously, ditto for the Spurs
If Warriors advance to West Conf Finals, Game 1 will be their 8th game in 16 days while Memphis will be on 5 days rest
Elbow jumper. Can't be mad about that.
