Jackson brings back same five reserves ... meanwhile, Clippers bring Blake Griffin
Difference so far has been at the line. Clippers have made 5 more FTs. Everything else about even
I called that as soon as Crawford shot it
David Lee exhausted. Missed games late in year, thrown into high intensity. Adrenaline gone.
Clippers are 6 of 11 from the FT line. That's going to be something to watch this series
Curry ties game with his first basket, a 3 off the pick and roll
Iguodala to be replaced by Harrison Barnes after picking up his third foul
Andre Iguodala picks up his third personal foul -- hitting Jamal Crawford on a three-point attempt.
Warriors are going to attack Jamal Crawford on offense.
Warriors survived initial onslaught ... Assuming Lee will play better and Curry will get going. Its enough to make Doc nervous, for sure
Curry with a beautiful outlet pass to Iguodala for a dunk. Clippers timeout, lead down to 15-10
Can already tell I'll be doing a lot of blocking today. Calm down or just read somebody else.
Warriors small with Lee at center. DeAndre Jordan stays in game (with Blake on the bench)
Curry vs. the World already, I would say.
Warriors move Curry off the ball, make CP3 chase him
Lee is checking back in, Jermaine O'Neal out.
My wi-fi connection is on pace with the Warriors, so I might not be checking in very much from here.
Thought this game might start a little slowly because of 12:30 tip. I was correct but only for one team.
Warriors looking stunned by Clippers' aggression on both sides. GSW currently 0 for 8 with 4 turnovers. Down 12-1.
And there is the first lob ... Warriors 0-for 8 from the field ... Mark Jackson takes another timeout
Klay won't get more open than his last one ... he's 0-for-3
O'Neal has drawn two fouls on Blake Griffin ... Blake forced to come out with 8:46 in first
Blake Griffin joins Andre Iguodala with two early personal fouls.
Mark Jackson calls a timeout after 7-0 Clippers run to start game
David Lee isn't ready to play
We've barely played two minutes, and David Lee has three turnovers, and Andre Iguodala has two personal fouls.
Three Warriors possessions, three David Lee turnovers.
Tried to send out a photo of the near-courtside view, apparently it's stuck in Twitter-verse. My apologies if it appears randomly.
Game 1, GSW vs. LAC starters: GSW -- Curry, Thompson, Iguodala, Lee, O'Neal; LAC -- Paul, Redick, Barnes, Griffin, Jordan. Out: Bogut/Ezeli.
I picked Draymond Green-Matt Barnes as the likeliest first skirmish. A new pregame add: David Lee is very, VERY amped up for this.
Center Andrew Bogut (rib) was in too much pain to travel with the Warriors for Game 1 of their first-round series against the Clippers.
Mark Jackson on his team: "These guys are made of the right stuff. Seeing them every day, I won't bet against them."
Sorry. Prematurely pressed send
For those asking why Bogut's not with the team in LA--Mark Jackson says he was in a lot of pain after yesterday's practice in Oakland.
Chapel update: Mark Jackson, Steve Blake, Chris Paul and a few other Clippers were all in the group chapel together just now.
Nemanja Nedovic (calf) said he won't dress after originally getting hurt in Game 2 of Santa Cruz playoffs vs. Los Angeles D-Fenders.
In case anybody is wondering: Andrew Bogut didn't fly with the team to LA. He's. not here. He's not playing
If we learned anything about Mark Jackson last year it's that he plays that lineup game. Can't believe what he says about lineups
Mark Jackson on his team: "These guys are made of the right stuff, and seeing them everyday, I won't bet against them."
Loving that Warriors now playing in games big enough to warrant meeting up with buddies to watch. Especially minutes after noon!
Festus Ezeli (knee) isn't close to playing in a game, according to Warriors head coach Mark Jackson.
Jackson said Festus won't be playing anytime soon. Guarantee it won't stop people from asking me though
Warriors coach Mark Jackson said "we're going to keep on moving on as if (Bogut) is not here." Big man rotation is O'Neal, Green, Speights.
Jermaine O'Neal will start and Draymond Green will play a lot, Mark Jackson said
Mark Jackson: "We're in battle."
Doc Rivers said Danny Granger will play in Game 1 vs. the Warriors.
This is what the Warriors will see as they head from their locker room to the Staples Center court. http://t.co/pTfF78yd9M
Bottom line, though, is as long as there are two 3-point arcs painted on the court, the Warriors have chance.
I just can't get around that Warriors go into series without high-quality player in Bogut. Teams close but that's a hurter.
Was thinking: Do you really want to "take D.Jordan" off court by fouling him if you're GSW. Or you want him awful from line but in game?
Warriors-Clippers Game 1 refs: Mike Callahan, Ron Garretson, Sean Wright.
On that @shailinne Solus Christus hype. "I been elated, ever since my hard heart was penetrated. By the grade of God I've been regenerated."
One thing that has been emphasized to me recently: Warriors management has made no decision on Mark Jackson's future, up or down.
(I never note that particular award unless it adds another relevant detail to the column I'm currently writing.)
Steph Curry named Western Conference player of the month for April. His 2nd time. First time he got the award: April last year.
Alvin Attles on Steph Curry: "He does things that amaze me. I was amazed by a guy named Wilt Chamberlain. But not too many others."
Had a good talk with Steph Curry today about how he weighs when to be a passer and when to take over a game. Transcript to come...
Mark Jackson told KNBR Marreese Speights, Hilton Armstrong and Ognjen Kuzmic are among the players who'll also be thrown at Blake Griffin.
Blake Griffin said he doesn't have Jermaine O'Neal's number. They don't talk like that.
Blake Griffin said it's hard for him hate another basketball player.
The Warriors announced that they recalled Ognjen Kuzmic from Santa Cruz of the D-League.
