One could argue this game is getting away from the Mariners. AK
We're getting to the point of the year when there is only baseball. And with this year's Dodgers squad, hurry up, autumn. DB

Joe Flacco and Patrick Willis recreated a Super Bowl re-match at the Coliseum. The closest L.A. has come to an NFL game in almost 20 years.
Obviously different situations but Clippers fans are all-in on Rivers. If the Clippers go elsewhere, it won't be as well received pre-talks.
At this point any Clipper hire as coach other than Doc may get the D'Antoni treatment, i.e. didn't replace VDN, replaced Doc.
I don't get the sense anyone has thrown in the towel on this thing. It's always a phone call away from getting done.
Negotiations in the NBA are like negotiations in everyday life. There are breaks, posturing and it may take a couple days.
No matter who they interview or talk to, until the Clippers hire a coach not named Doc, this Celtics trade is still in play.
I still think the Clippers have the leverage. There's a reason Boston is willing to do this deal without Bledsoe. Doc is gone either way.
Could the Clippers try to ratchet up the pressure on Boston by bringing in Shaw and Scott for more interviews?
Monta Ellis won't be coming to L.A. but I know that won't stop Lakers fans from superimposing a Lakers jersey on him in 3, 2, 1...
The wife: "I bet Kimye name their daughter Kash." AK
That wale/Rihanna Bad remix is nice!
Curious -- Do people remember Jimmy Connors more now as a contentious asshat or the loveable, inspirational US Open hero? BK
I've been saying this for a while but there is no way Doc comes back and if that's the case I doubt KG comes back.
The Ron And Metta Show
My guess is a deal gets done and the Clippers because of their leverage at the moment will be able to keep Bledsoe.
If the Celtics think Doc is gone and KG will walk away too if he leaves, I'm guessing they'll find a way to make a deal.
Major traffic in downtown San Antonio. Spurs fans waing flags, hanging out of car windows, cheering. Hate to tell 'em but it's not over yet.

LeBron has said many times this series "I'm tired" ..... Makes you appreciate @KobeBryant & @Paugasol's 2008-2010 run that much more, huh?
Last time a team went home down 3-2 in the Finals and WON... 2010 Lakers .... The Heat ain't the 2010 Lakers ... We miss those Lakers!
MIA ended the regular season by going 36-2 down the stretch. In their last 11 games, the Heat are 5-6.
I thought the game started at 8pm pst . I was so late . I caught the last 2mins
Many similarities to the 2010 LAL-BOS Finals. SAS/BOS stole 1 of first 2, LAL/MIA managed 1 of 3 middle games before a return home down 3-2.
FINAL: Spurs 114, Heat 104. San Antonio can close it out and win the title on Tuesday in Miami.
Of course a Danny Green three-pointer would be the final nail in the coffin.
This is starting to feel a little like 2011 all over again for Miami.
The 3-pointer was introduced in the NBA during the 1979-80 season but wasn't shot as regularly as it is today until the 1990s.
Obviously not ready to say this series is over by any means, but Spurs only need to split 1/2 in Miami for the title. DB
I wish I was as "washed up" as Manu Ginobili.
In 2010 the Lakers were down 3-2 going back to LA. Won twice to get the title. Can Miami do the same? They're going to have to. DB
I'm starting to see why the Lakers were swept by the Spurs.... DB
Nobody expected Danny Green to have his own graphic this series. AK
Is Jay-Z doing a halftime special? AK
More bizarre: Danny Green making every 3 he throws up in the Finals or his run-in with a masked child at halftime of Game 5?
BREAKING: Tiago Splitter was not blocked on a dunk attempt.
Spurs look great. If only they hadn't given up that 33-5 run in Game 2. And lost Game 4 at home by 16 points.
Nobody's blocked Ginobili's shot yet, already making him a better choice than Splitter in the starting lineup.
I'm just hoping for a good game tonight. We've had nothing but clunkers since Game 1. An epic Game 5 would be tremendous. DB
Magic Johnson takes a shot at the Dwight-Blake trade possibility on ABC: "Sterling and Jim Buss getting a deal done?! No way! No way!"
My pick for Game 5 of the Finals (but I still got the Heat in 7): http://t.co/yaz4fuMkX4
Happy Fathers Day!
This is your daily reminder that new TweetDeck is still the worst. DB
I wonder if there will be any absurd trade rumors that are then dead two hours later again today. Better than Rickie Fowler's pants. DB
I have to wish a Happy Father's Day to my own dad. Growing up in Oregon, he was the reason I became a Lakers fan. Dodged a bullet there. DB
Happy Father's Day to all my bros who have kids!!!
"I thought that was Deejay Lance." - The wife, on Rickie Fowler's all-orange outfit. AK
If Doc and KG come to L.A., Pierce is soon to follow. Either in a trade or the Celtics will buy him out and he'll sign with the Clippers.
