"Success makes you less intimidated by things." - Nate Silver
He just hit a eurostep 3 tho

D'Antoni said Kobe won't be above the rim "for a while." Said to give him a month b4 he starts matching last year's numbers (27 ppg, 6 apg)
Young/Meeks will likely be the 1st wings off the bench, but if either is having an off night X is more than capable of filling their roles.
That said, I don't see X falling completely out of the rotation. Think D'Antoni will continue to roll with the hot hand with reserves.
There's not a big difference in the role he'd play at either position. I like Wes starting along side Kobe better than Meeks though.
If that's the case, Kobe will start at the 2. It's been up in the air whether he'd start at the 2 or 3.
RE Hill: I really like him and I don't have a negative word to say about his play. Just think he's better suited off the bench.
Also, Asik will make $14 million next season. That kills any hope of bringing any new pieces next season.
Kobe's return, ripple effect on roation? D'Antoni: "You throw that boulder into the water, there's going to be some serious ripples."
Robert Sacre to reporters who wanted to talk to him after practice: "You guys need me? Man, it's a different world now."
Mike D'Antoni on Kobe's minutes range Sunday: "I'd be surprised if it's more than in the 20s"
Don't think Hill was going to have too many more of those nights this season regardless of role.
I still think Hill is capable of putting up nice numbers coming off the bench, but that 24-17 night is an outlying performance.
D'Antoni said he felt Hill was more comfortable coming off the bench. I tend to agree.
The two losses have come by a combined 11 points. They're fighting well even on down nights. Couldn't have said that last year.
D'Antoni has his boys playing well in the last three weeks. 6-2 over the last 8 with one of the losses coming against a very good POR team.
Colletti: "After how well Brian pitched down the stretch and in the postseason, we are very pleased he is returning."
And even in limited minutes, Hill was still able to bring down 9 boards (4 offensive).
The Dodgers officially signed Brian Wilson to a one-year contract with a player option for 2015.
Hill was able to come off the bench, and seemed a bit more comfortable working against reserve bigs.
Sacre provided great energy to start last night's win over the Kings. Set to tone for the Lakers with his activity.
Dodgers announce they've signed Brian Wilson. One year, player option for a second. Good stuff for the pen. BK
With Kobe returning to this gritty team, other teams dealing w/injuries, where do the Lakers finish in the playoff standings?
Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.
Good morning, Lakers Nation. How are you guys feeling after another road win?
Back in warm LA
Not to put a damper on Sunday's festivities, but Pau was walking a gingerly on his R ankle postgame & Blake had his R elbow heavily iced
Have to love ho tough this team is. They've won some rough game on the road down the stretch. This team is so much fun.
Damn, Sacramento, this is some Tillamook County weather right here. I just offered a guy $100 for his umbrella. He refused.
Lol I love y'all
Finally watched the Kobe video, and was particularly impressed with how his jersey destroyed the Death Star with one shot. BK
Vegas oddsmakers put the Lakers at 33.5 wins this season, meaning they'd have to go 24-39 with Kobe for Sin City to be right
Following up on D'Antoni-Brown column...MDA has brilliant game here; Mike Brown trailed by 29 in ATL in blowout with Kyrie shooting 0 for 9.
Back to la...wat y'all on?
At 10-9, the Lakers would have the 3rd best record in the Eastern Conference. In reality, they're 10th in the West
Great team win tonight
NickYoung: "We in LA-you don’t want to lose that many games in LA. I [saw] it last year just being in the East Coast, I seen how bad it was"
Pau on Kobe's comeback: "I think it’s great that we’re playing well and now, finally, the moment that everybody is waiting for, right?"
Starting line up on Sunday could be: Blake, Bryant, Johnson, Gasol and Sacre. Meeks, Henry, Young, Williams and Hill off the pine.
Jordan Hill on Kobe: "We have to go out there and fight for him and play for him when he's out there."
Mike D'Antoni said he's been weighing whether to start Johnson or Meeks next to Bryant. Each has (different) skills that complement Bryant.
Before the season started, you have to think LAL would take a 10-9 record w/out Bryant or (mostly) Nash leading into Kobe's return.
Cleveland is one of my favorite cities. I can't speak for the sports teams but the city never disappoints me.
James Worthy is doing his Swaggy P impressing again. SO GOOD.
Nick Young: "Kobe Bryant is the best to every play the game at my position."
Shawne Williams: "We all just want to win, man. We all respect each other as men in this locker room. That translates to the floor."
Phrase to be remembered throughout this season: "The Lakers had a winning record without Kobe Bryant..."
D'Antoni: "Somebody different comes up big every night"
D'Antoni said he has "good guys," and thus they responded to a (firm) plea to compete harder on defense in 4th Q. Kings scored 13 in period.
Meeks waits for Blake to finish his postgame interview on court, they slap hands, embrace and walk off together. These underdog Lakers...
Your final: Lakers 106, Kings 100. LAL held SAC to only 13 4th Q points, forced 9 TO's and blocked 5 shots.
Worthy: "Last year, this team didnt have any identity. ... This year, this is a defensive team." He's talking about a MDA-coahced team
Lakers win, 106-100. Have to wonder what Kobe's presence will do to the Lakers' team chemistry.
Lakers win it 106-100 thanks to Jodie Meeks, who was a man on fire. Maybe he doesn't want to give up that starting SG spot to Kobe
Awaiting this Lakers team after a come-from-behind win in Sacramento: Kobe Bryant. No. 24 will start on Sunday.
Don't think any one will be shaking hands with Cousins tonight, not even his teammates
Not complaining, but why didn't Sacramento play Isaiah Thomas down the stretch?
LAL have scored the last 10 points. They've forced 9 SAC turnovers in the 4th Q alone, including Gasol just poking the ball from Cousins.
Swaggy Dagger? Nick Young rewarded Wesley Johnson's strip of rookie McLemore w/a pull-up J to beat the shot clock. LAL up 6, 30 sec. left.
Make it a 10-0 run for the Lakers and wiwth 30 seconds left they lead the Kings 103-97. Fans pouring out now.
Lakers fans here in the old Arco Arena are all waving to the Kings fans streaming for the exits. LAL 103, SAC 97 with 30 seconds left.
SOOOOO MUCH SWAGGGGG!!!!!
McLemore was dribbling the clock down far away from the hoop … and Johnson picked his pocket.
Amidst this 8-0 LAL run in crunch time, Jodie Meeks has drained 2 triples around a Gasol 2-pointer. LAL up 4, 1:09 to go, SAC ball.
Meeks and Gasol suddenly finding the basket after a 3-minute scoring drought. Lakers lead, 101-97 with 1:09 left
Meeks 19 points. Pau pumped fist, then stopped and pumped both fists. He really wants to salvage this one. Lakers up four with 1:09 left.
Meeks just made Robert Sacre LOSE HIS MIND in excitement off the bench. Another triple after Young's steal has LAL up 101-97, 1:09 left.
