Just received a text from a Bears fan, regarding the defense: "I quit watching. I'm mowing the yard."
Lamar Miller (2-yard TD rush) and the Dolphins answer back with their own scoring drive. 21-7 with seconds left in the 3rd quarter.
Very well. That 4th-and-1 turned out pretty good for Dolphins and Tannehill.
Nice call by Joe Philbin. Allowed Tannehill to show off his "deceptive" speed.
Bears finally respond with their first scoring drive of the game. Dolphins D-line giving up that fourth-and-1 play was huge.
Bears make it look easy on that drive. Right back in the game.
Tannehill at halftime: 14 for 15, 176 yds, 155.1 rating. Since halftime of GB game, he's 26 for 30 for 323 yards.
Tannehill misses on his first throw just before the first half ends. Then gets sacked again.
What's frustrating about Tannehill's inconsistency is that he can look REALLY good when he's on his game. Lots of peaks and valleys.
Bears fans are already booing
Tannehill is now at 10-10, 136 yards, and 2 touchdown passes with 5:20 left in the first half.
There it is. Mike Wallace gets his sixth touchdown reception in his last 7 games for Miami.
If only the Dolphins could play against this Bears defense every week.
Dolphins have to take advantage and get a score here.
Mildly surprised that the penalty flag didn't ultimately negate that huge Dolphins play + the big 50-yard return.
Reshad Jones joins Brent Grimes, Walt Aikens and Jimmy Wilson with one interception each this year.
It's funny how Brandon Marshall says the Dolphins were a QB away, yet he plays with Cutler.
Dolphins get their first interception of the season besides their London game, where they had 3 vs the Raiders.
If only the Dolphins could play against bad Jay Cutler every week.
What a play by Finnegan there.
Bears get just their second first down of the game minutes into the second quarter.
With that miss, Sturgis now 4 for 9 in his career on field goals of 50 yards or more.
Sturgis can't get the field goal. Bears secondary has been so-so but their defensive line are racking up sacks.
That last possession was a missed opportunity for Dolphins. Could have put pressure on Bears.
Okay, this is getting ridiculous with the field here.
Dolphins have their way with Bears defense thus far.
Tannehill did a great job avoiding the initial sack attempt but then waited too long afterwards.
Bears players slipping too. It helped the Dolphins on their touchdown play.
That's at least three or four times the Dolphins players have slipped on this field by themselves. It's costing them yards.
Shelby fights through to take down Cutler as he falls down. Nice play there.
Very effective and efficient scoring drive by the Dolphins. No slow start this week.
Dolphins offensive line much improved on this drive after that first play of the game where they allowed the quarterback sack.
So Philbin keeps Pouncey at RG, Satele at C. He opts for Garner and Dallas Thomas as active backup OL over Shelley Smith and Jason Fox.
Brandon Gibson was probable, so a bit surprising he's inactive.
Satele active for Dolphins. Inactives: Gibson, Wilson, S. Smith, Fox, Johnson, Turner and Hoskins.

Feels like watching the Empire Strikes Back without knowing there's a third coming. The bad guys win, and that's it
Such a dumb call
From Fighting Irish to Flagging Irish
Heat need to cut 3 players and if they release, say, Khem Birch & Shawn Jones, who do you cut from trio of Brown, Dawkins, and Johnson?
Heat outlast Spurs in overtime. Nice work by the young reserves. Napier again strong with 25 points on 6/13 field goals, 12/14 free throws.
OT FINAL: Heat 111, Spurs 108. Two in a row for the Heat.
Call upheld. 90 seconds of my life I'll never get back.
Why yes, why not a video review in overtime of a preseason game.
That pass by Napier....
Heat in their third preseason overtime game. Because this game needed more free throws.
Heat 100, Spurs 100 end of regulation. Third preseason OT game for the Heat. What is this post-LeBron hell?
Overtime. Popovich looks like a guy who was just told his wife maxed out 9 of her 10 credit cards, & is on her way to Tiffany's.
Why, yes, this is the Heat's third overtime of preseason. Basketball gods not been too kind lately.
If this game goes to overtime, Popovich might kill the first reporter he sees
Really, possibly a third preseason overtime game? That's more unpalatable than having to pick between Crist and Scott.
Spurs working hard on their preseason flops.
Tyler Johnson, kid is tough, takes a beating and keeps going hard to rim.
JaMychal Green, an undrafted free agent out of Alabama ('12), has stood out for San Antonio. Spurs keep finding good prospects.
Heat 82, Spurs 81 going into the fourth. Is this thing on? Anyone out there? Hello? Hello?
Remarkable how Napier can find space to operate even by the rim.
Napier's lack of size showed up there. But so did his instincts, still finding someone in traffic. It's going 2 b hard to keep him on bench.
Heat fans are going to hate hearing this... but it's absolutely freezing inside the AT&T Center in San Antonio tonight
Heat 61, Spurs 54 at half. Shabazz Napier keeps growing on you and Andre Dawkins showing he can flat-out shoot.
Spoelstra giving the kids the chance tonight. Sense that Tuesday's home preseason finale on national TV (TNT) will be a dress rehearsal.
Rio to Tyler Johnson for the alley-oop. Shades of Johnson's summer-league play.
Bonner in danger of fouling out before halftime.
Do the Gators get to schedule another Homecoming?
Chalmers back at point guard for first time in two games.
Andre Dawkins can shoot. Not sure about the rest of his game but the Heat certainly have a pressing need in that category.
Not a good night for former Gators coach Will Muschamp.
Chalmers at scorers' table about to return.
Shabazz Napier has gotten better in every preseason appearance since his poor summer league. Instincts starting to show through.
It’s clear watching Tyler Johnson that he has potential.
The thing is Dawkins and Johnson can score. Phil Weber likely to get both to score for him in Sioux Falls.
Napier uncharacteristically missed his 2nd FT of the night. The rookie gets to the line consistently.
Tim Duncan is returning to this game. He may have lost a bet.
Spoelstra going deep in his bench already. Heat have accordingly lost their 11-point lead.
And now Dawkins. So a Heat second-quarter lineup of Napier, Dawkins, Johnson, Birch and Jones. Go ahead, guess the first names.
Chalmers (left-eye laceration) is getting stitches in the locker room and expected to return, per Heat.
Shabazz Napier again a catalyst for the Heat, his 10 early points pushing Heat to a 12-point lead against the defending world champions.
Heat open up double-digit lead at the end of the 1st quarter against a mix of Spurs regulars and reserves. Napier again impressive early.
And now, with Chalmers out, Tyler Johnson enters for the first time.
