Hassan Whiteside reports that his hand is NOT healthy enough to dunk on people.
Because I’m not a doctor, I’m just going to say the webbing between Whiteside’s fingers was split. Best way to describe it.
Again, Whiteside’s injury looks extremely painful and slow to heal.
Whiteside has 10 stitches on right hand. Split his hand between middle and ring finger. Ouch.
Whiteside can't catch with his injured hand but Spoelstra says he'll be back this season.
Erik Spoelstra says of Hassan Whiteside, "Playing with one hand sounds easy, but..." No, no it doesn't.
Spo on Whiteside injury: "It needs to heal a little more before we take the next step."
Wade working out now with a decision then to be made.
If Wade (knee) is close enough that he'll warm up, my guess is he plays.
Spoelstra says Whiteside out and Birdman out. Wade might play.
2 Chainz in about 2 hours here. Also, there's a basketball game. http://t.co/f63RSkDNtl
Many in league -- including on rival West teams -- felt OKC was NBA's most talented team after trade deadline. If healthy. So much 4 that.
Man. The Thunder are shutting Durant down for the season, and it sure feels like OKC's window is closing.
Again looking like Heat will start Haslem, Walker, Deng, Dragic and Chalmers. For now.
Jeff Teague out for the Hawks tonight, so at least there's that.
No Whiteside for Heat against Hawks. Wade and Birdman doubtful. A win tonight at the end of a four-game road trip would be a miracle.
Hassan Whiteside: "My plan was average a double-double, top 3 in the league in blocks and make the playoffs."
Spoelstra basically spoke as of Birdman, Wade and Whiteside all would be out tonight.
Whiteside said he still is unable to use his right hand to catch the ball. Said he may have to return as a left. I "think" he was kidding.
Whiteside now officially out tonight.
Whiteside doubtful but likely out.
Wade questionable for tonight, did not practice at shootaround.
Birdman says he will play tonight.
Danny Crawford, Mark Lindsay, Leon Wood your referees for tonight's Heat-Hawks, 7:30 p.m., Philips Arena (Sun Sports).
Another Uber ride, another non-abduction. Success.
So Kentucky's legit.
NBA East after tonight's lone game. It's beginning to look a lot more like Heat-Cavs. http://t.co/leR4Zinkui
George Hill potential tying 3-pointer rim out, Bucks gain a half game in race for No. 6 in East.
Bayless wins another critical late jump ball. Geesh.
Interesting how the Roy Hibbert era of verticality appears to be over.
Down 34-11 at one point, Pacers now within three of Bucks, for those who enjoy pro hoops beyond Kentucky.
All those people harping that West Virginia was going to win are noticeably quiet right now
Dropped & cracked my phone yesterday in Memphis. No one could reach me by call or text for 24 hours. That was liberating. May do it again.
Who knew you could bring a porcupine on a plane? I assume it's a service porcupine. http://t.co/sPrTewls8k
Heat lists Whiteside as doubtful and Wade and Andersen questionable for Friday in Atlanta.
Oh, oh, I know this one: No. http://t.co/8bMwTIgJ7D
Under the radar and a small sample size, but Heat forward James Ennis now leads all rookies in free-throw percentage, at .848 (56 of 66).
Whiteside said he will need to tape two of his fingers together to play during 2 week healing process. He's unsure when he will play.
Uber..the only way I get out on a roadtrip lol. Sign up...code Rio15!
Derrick Shelby signed his tender and will remain a Dolphin.
Most likely East matchups according to ESPN's BPI. (I hope the Hawks' video coordinators are banking some Zzz's now) http://t.co/cZTZL2tZdo
The most likely West matchups according to ESPN's BPI. GSW-OKC is pretty much a lock. http://t.co/Afhvzym69T
Even after a homeriffic Feb, road team is having its best season on record. Home team is just .570 this season (.580 last; .611 in 12-13)
I watched Whiplash on the plane this morning. You guys want to talk about it?
Heat outscored 48-20 over their last two Q4s. They shot 6 for 31 FGs (19%), including 0/8 threes. Also: 15 TOs.
Heat's next four are at Hawks, home vs. Pistons, home vs. Spurs, at Cavaliers. No time for any comfort level.
NBA East at the moment. http://t.co/7bo17DTT9s
