ER was a fantastic show for those 1st eight seasons. John Carter might be my favorite TV character ever, and Mark Greene was just as good.
Doc Rivers on the Western Conference, looking ahead to the season: "The West will be historically hard this season. And I'm not kidding."
By the looks of Nash's new hair style, he is preparing to star in the sequel of LA Confidential...
Steve Nash: fans paid 2 watch him. Teammates & coaches should've paid 2 have played with him & coached him. 1st ballot HOF inductee in 5 yrs
That was fun. Ned Yost makes strange decisions & they somehow continue to work. That bullpen is something fierce.
Melo says he'll probably start looking at film of the Bulls tomorrow. Knicks open season vs Chicago on Wednesday.
JR is still confident that he can pick up the offense with more time. Said he thinks he can become "elite" once he's learned his place in it
JR says he still hasn't found his sweet spots in the triangle. "I have to find new sweet spots," he said.
That play shows a potential flaw in triangle when down 3 in situation like this: You allow opponent to foul your big man w his back turned
Knicks' SGs tonight are 3-of-23. JR is 1-of-10. Hardaway is 2-of-7. Shumpert is 0-of-6
J.R. Smith and his self-fulfilling "struggle'' prophesy. He's 1 for 10.
Phil Jackson not in Montreal tonight. Didn't make any of the 4 preseason road trips (2 Connecticut, Cuse). It's good to be The Zen Master.
That third quarter is exactly what Phil and Derek have been talking about. You have to stick to the program. That's the challenge.
Not sure if its being explained on TV, but Fisher & Melo were both upset, bc 24-sec clock was still intact as 3Q expired. It confused Melo
I don't even know what this quarter is from the Knicks. It's not a triangle, though.
The Triangle, or whatever the Knicks are trying to run, has produced six points in 10 third-quarter minutes.
That timeout was strictly a scolding by Fisher. He never even used the dry erase board. Just got into his players.
Only in the third quarter, but Knicks have four technical fouls: Fisher, Stoudemire, JR Smith and Pablo Prigioni.
Prigioni, Stoudemire, J.R. and Fisher have been called for technicals thus far.
Amid reports of a NY Daily News/Post merger, Berman of the Post tweets: "Amare's floater wasn't t-riangle just t-alent." I think I'm safe.
Yes, Knicks will have Calderon back for the opener, but struggling to picture a way they can break 90 if the Bulls play their usual D.
And no, this isn't about the big lineup being slow in transition. It's about wing players being slow and perimeter defense being poor.
I'm not sure what shape J.R. is playing now.
These Amare-at-the-5 lineups, man... Just say no.
Melo got called for the push-off but I love that option instead of the flash to the elbow, he cuts back door for the oop.
Knicks gave up 14 points the whole second quarter. They've allowed 15 in the first 4:06 of the third.
Knicks transition defense has gotten shredded a few times here tonight.
Lowry saying what’s up to Fisher during the free throw. Gives some props to the former PG.
Melo buries a shot coming out of the half. Man, he is ready to go.
Lorenzo Cain is ridiculous.
I know it's preseason, but that was a really nice half for the Knicks.
Melo averaging 27.3 points per 36 minutes so far this preseason. Averaged 25.5 pts per 36 minutes during the last regular season.
Dalembert chatting with Dikembe courtside during free throws. I assume it’s about shot blocking.
Dalembert has 9 rebounds already - cleaning up in his former hometown of Mont Royale.
Stoudemire's spinning move in lane for a floater wasn't t-riangle just t-alent.
Mount Mutombo getting huge standing ovation during timeout. Speaks French and 4 other languages. Great NBA ambassador.
There have been quite a few airballs shot by both teams.
Biggest concern w/ this yr's Knicks: Almost no matter who they throw out there, theyre gonna have 3 or 4 weak defenders playing at all times
JR Smith hobbling a little. He has had back spasms. Fisher probably should limit some of these guys.
J.R. Smith walking off the floor very slowly as the quarter ends. Has been dealing with back spasms throughout preseason
If Quincy Acy can knock down open jumpers in this triangle like he just did twice, he's going to get his minutes. His presence hurt Early.
Derek Fisher gets first technical of his coaching career. Good thing he saved it for preseason finale.
In the Triangle, the big on the pinch post has to read & react like a QB running the option. Hand off or wait for cutting man to clear.
Derek Fisher gets his first technical foul.
Meanwhile, Carmelo's jumper is looking pure as ever.
Melo feeling it in Mont Royale with 9 points in opening 4:0.
Seems really clear that Fisher & Co. want to give Larkin every chance to win backup PG role. Im not convinced yet hes better than Pablo, tho
Knicks trying to put on a dunking show in layup drills and Shumpert and Dalembert were stuffed by the rim on back-to-back tries.
Montreal native Sam Dalembert is addressing the Bell Centre crowd in French.
Dikembe Mutombo is taller than Mike Breen. http://t.co/TOnlp4j4Dx
Dalembert has bought 140 tickets for game - for schoolkids as part of his foundation, family, friends.
The 12-13 Knicks initially benefitted from a small-ball style that tms weren't prepared for. Difficult to defend, and no early film on them
Went back & looked at NYKs 12-13 preseason. Felton, Kidd, Brewer, Melo & Tyson had only played 9 mins together, yet started the season 18-5.
Fisher hinted earlier that Calderon, Shump, Melo, Jason Smith & Dalembert will be starters on opening night. Group hasnt played together yet
