My 10-pound Maltese guards my home better than the Timberwolves protect their basket.
"Who is that? Is that Bobby What's His Name?" -Clyde
Pek & Cole had a convo while they were waiting for MIN to inbound the ball. I'd pay good money to find out what they were talking about.
When TH Jr isn't hitting you notice more that he doesn't guard anyone.
They have a Howl-O-Meter here at the arena in Minnesota. So instead of cheering, the crowd just straight-up howls at random times.
And here, also has Aldrich -- strong rebounder & decent defender -- w them. STAT starting lately is probably aimed at that issue, too.
Woodson's tried finding a way around the Stoudemire-Hardaway duo thats hurt NYK so much in recent weeks. Has played Shumpert w them (contd)
Nice and hard slap foul on Kevin Love underneath by Iman Shumpert. Generally speaking, need more of that toughness.
Knicks just playing so much faster tonight, moving the ball, being decisive.
At this point, JR Smith has slightly surpassed Hardaway's 3PT% for the season. Which is nuts, considering how they each started the year.
A reporter asked Hardaway abt the "rookie wall" a few weeks back. Maybe he's finally hit it. Shooting 30% from floor since Shumpert got hurt
Bavetta just threw up a jump ball toss that was so bad that Tony Brothers had to whistle for a re-jump.
I haven't the slightest clue why Melo just shot that with three guys directly in his grill there. He had like 5 on the shot clock, too.
Teletovic getting nothing done on either end of the court, biggest problem among a poor performance so far for Nets' second unit.
Knicks start out hot, like they did vs DET. Leading 9-0 in first minute and a half of the game.
Grizzlies trim it to 30-19 after one by making their last three shots. Were down as much as 21.
It's as much of a lock as this future tweet "Knicks announce that Mike Woodson has resigned" when we know he was really fired.
Who will be first to tweet "according to sources the Nets will sign Jason Collins for the remainder of the season." As if it ain't happening
Nets lead Grizzlies 30-12. Feels like the most one-sided 1st quarter in the NBA since the last time the Knicks visited Chicago.
The Grizzlies need to put Beno in immediately.
Melo has scored 40 points in a losing effort three times this season, tied for the most in NBA. The player he's tied with? MINs Kevin Love.
If the Nets, who stole headlines by signing Jason Collins, continue to play like this Jim Dolan will do something drastic. Count on it.
Johnson gets called for travelling, "Walking in Memphis" plays over Barclays sound system. Not bad.
James Johnson replaces Davis and quickly misses a breakaway layup. If Zach is watching, he's probably feeling sicker.
Grizzlies yank Davis down 13-2. Didn't take long to realize they need to go small after Pierce gets 8 quick ones.
Happiest guy in the arena has to be Pierce, who avoids having to bang with Zach and has already torched Davis for five quick points.
Randolph indeed sitting out for the Grizzlies with the flu. Ed Davis gets the start.
Houston-Miami on Tues was NBA TV's 2nd-biggest Fan Night audience of all time. Only Heat-Pacers in December was bigger.
Zach Randolph looking terrible in the locker room as he battles the flu. Considering sitting out vs. Nets.
On to the next one… http://t.co/D7BUoLOyQ8
Upon further thought, soaking in the kid shaking his head in disgust. He lives in Detroit and in early March, the Knicks were what did it.
I haven't read much on the fan protest of Knicks at MSG - who's the guest speaker? Dolan? Mills?
As if the season couldn't get any worse, now the Knicks' SAT scores are going to be lower.
The Knicks are not expected to make any moves at the NHL trade deadline.
Mike Woodson says he's ""failed somewhat" this season. Does any Knick or MSG management guy want to say something? Somebody? Anybody?
Woodson will stick w/ starters from DET gm. Felton, Smith, Melo, Stoudemire, Chandler. Said this group got off to a good start in DET.
Garnett fought to avoid sitting out in preseason. Hard to imagine he'd take 3 in a row off in regular season if it's really nothing.
Garnett (back) out 3rd straight tonight. Maybe there's none, but given his age & how long Kirilenko was out with it, I'd have some concern.
I'm in the Lebron probably should be MVP every year camp, but reacting to one big game? I'd prefer to wonder about excuse the next night.
BTW, would have loved to hear critics if Melo had followed his 62 with 22-points, scoreless in 4th against contender, and said he was tired
Supposedly Durant was MVP for 4 months - until LeBron scores 61 in one night. So, today, who is it?
Jim Dolan just traded the captain of the playoff bound Rangers two weeks after not making a deal for the 21-40 Knicks. Alrighty.
PEOPLE: Some really weak NBA teams this season have ripped of 6/7 straight wins. All he's saying, is they can build on the first win.
Martin St. Louis, the pride of the University of Vermont.
St. Louis keeps himself in incredible condition despite his age (38). Still a dynamo with speed and scoring. Still also small.
Dear reader: If my tweeting stories about Jason Collins deeply bothers you, the problem is you.
And not for nothing, how is LeBron's 61 better than Carmelo's 62...against the same team no less.
Stoudemire says he and Carmelo haven't talked much about the team's struggles this season
Woodson says he knows he's failed but he won't quit. Says still man for job.
Woodson reiterates that he's still the right guy to pull the Knicks out of their slump.
Found this in the midst of my insomnia last night. Love it. http://t.co/2cKhxBnATl
Nets announce they have signed Jason Collins to a second 10-day contract, as expected.
No more group selfies, please.
In all seriousness, I really like Minnesota. One of the cleanest, friendliest places you'll find in the North.
