Now, Gerald Green is killing the Sixers. He's 5-for-5 for 11 points.
Springfield uses its last timeout with 2.9 left and ball at the 26.
Suns bench: 29, Sixers: 33
Suns 8-for-9 this quarter
Tucker scores for Suns off a man and his screen.
Springfield takes over at midfield with 38 seconds left in the first half. A chance to level the score before halftime
Suns on a 20-4 run. 76ers are going to need a caution to come out and bunch the scoring back up.
20-4 run by Phoenix and they up 40-31
The Suns are on a lot-to-a-little run. They lead by 9 points with 8:46 left in the first half.
Suns on 18-4 run
Isaiah Thomas has been a PERFECT spark off Suns bench. He made 4-4 FGs, 1-1 threes and 5-5 FTs to lead all scorers with 14 points.
16-2 run for suns here
Springfield's Alex Masino w/ INT. Defense keeps giving Cougars new life. Ball is at the Great Valley 35. Patriots up, 7-0, 2:30 left in 2Q
There’s no reason to make a big deal every time that happens.
Rookies are going to have games where they won’t play, either due to matchups or the coach trying to correct a problem he saw.
KJ McDaniels has played 23 minutes or more in 6 of his last 8 games. He has a great opportunity on this team to earn himself a ton of money.
Your winless 76ers 27, Suns 26, end 1st.
Bad last possession there by Sixers. Suns get it back and get FTs. Sixers up 27-26 after 1.
OF/DH-MGR: Raul Ibanez
apropos of nothing, it would be a blast to see Raul Ibanez as the manager of the Rays.
Len with a big dunk AND he steals Philly's sunshine.
Saric’s team is not in the NBA, the best basketball league in the world.
CORRECTION: Saric is averaging 13 points & 5 rebounds per game for a 4-2 team.
Springfield's bend-don't-break D does it again. Cougars get a 4th down INT from Ricky Sterling. Just ripped the ball away.
Markieff Morris is starting to heat up on his hometown team, seven points on 3-for-5 shooting.
10-2 Suns run
Dario Saric’s team, Cibona Zagreb, is 1-9. So they’re tanking too?
Good boxout there by Nerlens on Alex Len. would like to see more of that.
Sixers 7-11 from floor
Another move to hoop by Noel, this one semi-strong, but he gets hoop
Does that count as a give and go? We’ll call that a give and go.
…veventually, we got Pete trapped in a gully & threw rocks at him. The ‘80s, man. The ‘80s.
like Bledsoe’s moxy. When I was a kid, Pete Horn & Jimmy Switzenberg sent me flying 10 feet, but I fought them both anyway.
And a good strong move to hoop by Noel that results in two FTs. Good start for him
Nerls is bouncy today.
Bledsoe misses both free throws. Wonder if Kentucky players could beat him in a FT shooting contest.
Nerlens smacked Bledsoe on the mouth. All even.
Pretty sure Nerlens knew who that was he sent flying 5 feet ...
Nerlens Noel with the hard foul on Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe bounces back up and gives him a nudge.
Good hard foul by Noel on Bledsoe right off bar. That is something that is really good for Sixers IMO
Springfield converts once on 3rd down, once on 4th down, but had to punt. Great Valley pinned at its 11-yard line. Scoreless midway thru 1st
Nice round of boos for Bledsoe
Springfield's defense makes a stop on Great Valley's first drive. Cougars take over on downs at their 40-yard line.
Plenty of good seats available if you're out driving around and feel like taking in a basketball game ... http://t.co/g5rAULlblt
What kind if response will Eric Bledsoe get from Sixers fans tonight?
Ex-KU star/Philly native/Sun Markieff Morris says Max's Steaks best in city. Tony Luke's? "That sh&t is terrible. No Pat's or Geno's, either
Another source says there may not be much to A possible Sixers-Nets deal.
Wroten back in starting lineup, Thompson to the bench.
JaKarr Sampson sent to 87ers
... Obviously, I went to Kentucky. … Whatever the case may be, I got respect for them.”
Can't wait to hit the court tonight! http://t.co/otACRCTAwH
Fans who donate a box of mac & cheese at Monday's 76ers' game food drive get 2 tix to a future game. You can buy mac & cheese for a buck.
I honestly think we overstate how critical MCW is in the success or failure of the plan because he won ROY last year.
...dependent on the types of people they're complementing. Hitting on Embiid/2015 draft pick far more important in grand scheme.
2) I don't view the teams long term success as being tied to MCW/Noel as much as others do.
(that's not to say that losing can't impact culture, but I think that's largely dependent on other factors)
1) I think culture/habits influence losing more than I think losing influences culture/habits.
Two major disconnects I have with concerns about the plan (other than disagreements on how necessary it is to get first star in draft):
