Kings lose to OKC, 104-92, fourth loss in a row.
Kings fall victim to Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant who put on an absolute clinic. Combine for 58pts. Kings lose 104-92
make it 30 for Westbrook
Westbrook with the two-handed jam hurts the Kings chances in this one.
Russell Westbrook is just amazing. Tremendous. And what an absolutely VIOLENT dunk.
Ryan Hollins and Steven Adams get tangled. Double foul.
Landry is on tonight.
Kings….lead? Carl Landry is smokin.
The Ryan Hollins post move works. Kings cut the lead to 1 at 83-82.
Kings have cut the deficit to 83-82, 9:11 to play in the fourth quarter.
The Kings bench is at it again. Impressive quarter so far.
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook combined for 42 pts. Rudy Gay leads Kings scoring with 18pts. Kings are 13/14 from the line tonight
McLemore just pulled the chair out from under Kevin Durant. Didn’t know he had that in his defensive bag of tricks.
Rudy Gay with the tech.
To explain, when Peja would come out to talk to reporters following games or during practices, he would usually greet us "Hello, Americans"
That was a very special moment in Sacramento Kings history. Congrats, Peja. -sincerely, us Americans.
"I want to thank you fans. You have always supported us. You are the best and loudest fans in the world.” -Peja Stojakovic
If there's one thing I miss about covering sports, it's moments like this. Watching a guy get his number retired is special to see live.
After such a crazy week, it's great to have Peja, Vlade, Brad, Bobby, Doug and Scot in the house. This place is rockin' right now.
Peja time. http://t.co/gW8CxMzckx
Kings down 61-54 at half. Gay/Sessions each with 11 points. 19 for Westrbrook, 11 for Durant.
Reggie Evans with swat on Russell Westbrook?
Serge Ibaka needs to make sure he has all of his fingers.
Well that's a dunk of the year candidate.
Serge Ibaka gets to be on Rudy Gay's poster!!!
Rudy Gay just made a poster.
Rudy Gay is grimacing. Looks like he tweaked something. Stays in.
The Ramon Sessions game. Didn’t see that coming. 11 points on 5/9 shooting.
Carl Landry with a grown-man move, but the Kings can't stop Westbrook. OKC up 49-43
The Kings are responding. Trail 47-43 after the Landry hammer dunk.
The bench is alive in Sacramento. 19 points early.
Arena was electric and jam-packed for both Webber and Vlade's retirement ceremonies...and the team was way worst back then.
Folks in Sacramento would know better than me, but Sleep Train doesn't look very full for Peja's retirement ceremony from a TV perspective.
Guess some of you don't like Perkins jokes.
How is Ty Corbin even standing on the sidelines without a crutch? He ruptured his achilles a couple weeks ago.
:( Jabari Parker.....
Looks like Corliss Williamson is serving as the lead assistant for Tyrone Corbin. He's most experience guy left, was college head coach
Kings down 34-20 after the first quarter. Sac had 7 turnovers while OKC shot 59.1% with one turnover. Westbrook 12 pts, 3 asts.
But then again, Vivek Ranadive, who is even a 49ers fan seemingly won't stand for dysfunction. Considers his team ahead of the curve
2/2 - the way Ranadive genuinely respected the disagreement from a large portion of Kings fans, puzzled by the firing of Michael Malone.
Was interesting to me to hear how Vivek handled the national narrative that there is chaos in front office and maybe even more so...1/2
Remember when Ty Corbin was head coach of the Kings Summer League team and they hadn't even officially announced him as hired?
For what it's worth, in Vivek's opening statement illustrating his 5 points - that was longest I've ever heard him speak at one time
Collison has two fouls and Sessions will replace him. Cue fan anger now.
Kendrick Perkins checks in to boos ... still not sure why everyone is mad at Perk
KIngs down 9-0 .... they cue up some Peja video.
The Sacramento Kings are already hearing it two minutes in. Trail 9-0. 3 turnovers.
If you recall, Mark Jackson and Michael Malone didn't have the greatest relationship when the two were in Golden State.
Well that's interesting...Mark Jackson says on ESPN broadcast he spoke to Michael Malone about his time in Sacramento.
Starters: Kings - Gay, Thompson, Evans, McLemore, Collison; OKC - Durant, Ibaka, Adams, Roberson, Westbrook
Chris Mullin just walked by being chased by a local tv reporter. "No comment."
Just had a brief 1-on-1 with Sacramento Kings majority owner Vivek Ranadive. Interesting comments to come re: firing of Michael Malone
Brad Miller, Vlade Divac, Scot Pollard, Bobby Jackson and Doug Christie are all here for Peja Stojakovic's jersey retirement ceremony.
Reggie Evans is starting tonight instead of Ryan Hollins.
Mark Jackson just walked by. He's calling the game tonight for ESPN.
This is what the Sacramento Kings game should about tonight. http://t.co/yvCfxouIAn
Both DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi are officially out tonight for Sacramento.
