Sloppy day for both teams. TOR hammered on glass 61-48. Raps big Q4 comeback squashed by Wiz 11-4 edge in OT. Wiz win 93-86 & up 1-0
You can’t handle the Truth.
Some fans are cheering because this game is over. Also some fans near are Kris Humphries fans.
Topes lose 93-86 in overtime. Not good.
So for the 2nd straight year, Raptors will go down 0-1 in their opening-round series. Game 2 goes Tuesday night from ACC. Need to be better
James Johnson has his faults, but you know what, so does every player on this roster.
Raptors now 1-7 in playoff openers, 0-3 at home.
So, when is DeRozan gonna show Pierce what 'it' is?
DeRozan dunk is the first Raptors score in OT. Took them 4:30 and 8 shots to get on the board. Wiz by 5, 29.8 left.
Raps miss 3PT...get off. reb...swing ball...results in DeRozan open dunk down main street. :29.8 sec left. Wiz timeout. TOR down 89-84
TOR has still not scored in OT. And they've had their chances. Wiz :36.5 sec away from stealing home court and taking a 1-0 series lead.
Burn this game tape with fire.
61-47 rebounding advantage for Washington. :36.5 to go in OT.
Another good look for Lou from 3PT...he misses...Raps can't get off. reb. Wiz come back...Porter in lane...bucket. :36.5 sec, 89-82 Wiz
Porter with the floater, and that should do it. What a wretched game.
Obviously playoffs are called differently/officials tend to let stuff go, but its not like Raps are putting pressure on them to blow whistle
Rebounding issues: Valanciunas is good at it but can’t guard the Wizards so can’t play. Casey won’t play James Johnson. Fin.
Raps can't inbound ball, timeout. I think that's every square on the bingo card now.
Casey on rebounding pre-game. “Hit somebody … just hit somebody."
Raptors have only attempted 14 free throws this afternoon, 3 in the second half and OT. Few easy buckets/FTs.
Lou got a good look at a 3PT ... missed. TOR stills scoreless in OT. Wall misses lay up...ANOTHER off. reb for Wiz. 1:09 left TOR ball
Wizards in OT: four offensive rebounds. Raptors: 0 points.
Wizards already have 3 offensive rebounds in OT. They've grabbed 18 on the afternoon. Less than ideal.
Looked like Lou Will was fouled on a drive / lay in attempt. No call. Wiz back. But nene goes 0/2 FT. TOR still down 85-82.
The glass. It remains a problem.
Nene in a nutshell.
Wiz begin OT with the ball ... Wall misses 3 ...Wiz get off. reb. Pierce hits 3PT. He hadn't scored since Q3. Raps miss on 1st possession
For better or worse, Lou and Vasquez are not afraid of any shot. We got the spectrum through 48.
Raptors (4-3) and Wizards (4-4) played the most OT games in the East during reg season. First ever Raps playoff OT
The refs not calling that contact on TRoss is Karma for all the calls Lou got this year.
Ross nearly tips in beautiful pass from Vasquez. Overtime. The first in Raps franchise history in the playoffs.
0.4 on the clock. Raptors to inbound. Barring something ridiculous it's OT in Tdot.
Calling it: lob to James Johnson for the win.
Wittman strikes again. How do you try to end a game with Wall taking a jumper? Raptors actually get a board. 0.04 left or OT.
Four tenths of a second left, actually.
Wall misses at the buzzer. Overtime. Raptorsian possession.
The Raptors have zero business winning this game. The Wizards really don’t either.
Good game not to be writing on deadline.
That Greivis shimmy is approved. What is Venezuelan for big cojones?
Vasquez just became the @raptors saving grace tying the game at 82 all with 25.4 remaining!
No Sam Cassell dance Greivis?
Greivis Vasquez is, uhh, not scared.
Where to start with this one, win or lose? Rebounding/securing loose balls. Wizards with 52-43 rebounding advantage, 15-9 on offensive glass
This is an absurd delay. Finally ends. Wiz ball, as looked clear.
Patterson's gotta squeeze that. But it's been that kind of day.
Amir lay in on off. reb ... pulls TOR to within 3. 82-79 Wiz. TOR gets stop on D. Ball goes outta bounds. Play under review ...
Wall annihilates Lou with no screen.
Vasquez runner in the lane. 80-77 Wiz. 1:40 to go.
Lowry just fouled out (7P, 8R, 4A, 2/10 FG); undercut Beal...and Beal bad the bucket. Dagger shot. Beal makes FT too. Wiz up 80-75
Not a good afternoon for Lowry. He fouls out with 7 points (2-of-10), 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 turnovers in 33 minutes.
Lowry fouls out on a huge and-one from Beal off a curl. Terrible game from Kyle.
Lowry’s out. He laid an egg today.
But hey, playoffs: Even when it's bad, it's fun.
Raps don't deserve this one. Can't really get too excited about the Wiz' merit, either.
