Patterson nails a three, gives a little bump to Caron Butler, Jonas Valanciunas’ arch-enemy. Butler keeps walking.
Raptors saying Fields is receiving stitches to the back of his head. Done for the night.
Pistons score and PA guy woofs (I think). He’s right, they are a bunch of dogs.
Big 3rdQ. Raptors out-score Detroit 29-18 in the frame. They had 9 assists on 12 FGM (50%), forcing 7 turnovers and holding Pistons to 35%
Greg Monroe cannot guard Valanciunas down low. Neither can Josh Smith. Drummond hasn’t been able to either.
Jonas Valanciunas, Kyle Lowry James Johnson and Terrence Ross are destroying the Pistons.
Raptors doing their thing, on a tear to begin second half. 23-9 in third quarter. 45-20 run going back to late 2ndQ. Toronto lead is 14
Fields may be most well-liked player in the Raps locker room. Emotional, scary moment for the team. Freak play led to dangerous fall.
We the North the latest chant here.
Trainers help Fields up and to the locker room, holding a towel to his head.
Fields after 3-4 min on the floor, sits up. Fans chanting Landry, Landry. As he leaves the floor with ice on the back of head/neck.
Looks like Fields is bleeding from back of head. Helped to the locker room with fans chanting his name.
Fields just took a nasty fall; went to contest a Singler 3PT. Went flying over Singler on the up-fake. Came down awkward & hit head/neck
Entire team standing around Fields, who remains sprawled out on the court. Fans chanting "Landry, Landry". Scary moment.
Landry chant breaks out here at the Palace.

Pistons game ops favour Gangstarr. Thumbs up.
Ross gives the Raptors their first lead of the game early in the second half before hitting another on the next possession to increase it
George Clinton bringing the funk http://t.co/FZRMqrvgcl
Pistons w/ 17 ast on 24 first-half FGs and only 2 turnovers. 1-for-9 from 3P range hurts. Raps with twice as many FTA (9/10 to DET's 3/5)
Tied at 52 going into the break. Raptors have never led but closed the half strong (22-11 run). Lowry leads all scorers with 11
Raptors closing the gap as first half winds down. Much better stretch, now within 3. Again, second unit (featuring Hayes) getting it done
Been talking about this re: Fields recently. Hayes had played 17 mins in 2 gms during December before getting nod today. Making a difference
Chuck Hayes, you’re a pro. Hayes rode the pince for past four games, enters this one and immediately makes an impact.
Meeks just caught Lowry with an elbow. Lowry basically shrugged, eyes wide, then tried to swipe at him when he drove by him.
First action for Chuck Hayes in 5 games. He's in to wrestle with Greg Monroe. Could see him on Drummond too.
Raptors fans helping Pistons? Detroit’s lost 11 straight at home, but this must feel like a bit of a road game for them.
Pistons score 6 of the first 8 2ndQ points, extend lead to a game-high 9. Quick timeout for Casey and the Raps
Amir on Masai’s bus ride: "Masai's great. To have a GM do something like that, that's unheard of. Masai's a great GM. We all love him."
Raptors have been fortunate to get away w/ some ugly starts vs bad teams. Testing their luck again tonight. Pistons (52%) up 31-26 after 1Q
Lousolation adapted for Auburn Hills features an unexpected dump-off to Tyler Hansbrough. Casey will be mad these Pistons dropped 31 in 1st.
Jennings tries hard but he’s just not a starter.
With all of today’s excitement, I nearly forgot that George Clinton would be bringing the funk at halftime.
Looked like Amir tweaked something, maybe ankle. Patterson comes in for him as he tries to walk it off behind bench. Trainer looking at it
Cancel that, Amir went half-way to the room, turned around, now standing behind bench.
Amir going to the locker room with training staff.
Amir hobbling around a bit, trying to walk off another knock. Looked like ankle. Patterson in for him.
Thunderous MVP chants for Lowry at the free throw line courtesy the Raptors' faithful here in Detroit
Loud MVP chants for Kyle Lowry as he goes to the line at the Palace. Some Pistons fans boo.
Brandon Jennings has always been an erratic player but has reached new levels of terrible as Piston. Shooting 24% in December.
This is like a Final Four college game. Fans equally loud for both teams.
Amir becomes 7th player in franchise history to reach 400 gms as Raptor. DeRozan would've gotten there 1st if not for injury - stuck at 399
Amir looked at his jersey before the game: “I guess these are going to be throw-backs."
Asked someone in the know here: “What’s up with the Pistons?” “They’re bad.” And that was the conversation. Sums it up.
Masai said he was teaching fans on the bus Liverpool chants, adapted for the Raptors. Said it was a great ride.
Sweet new scoreboard here at the Palace. Unfortunately, progress has reached Auburn Hills and media has been moved back here too.
Raptors new primary logo will be the one with red circle, silver ball, white lettering, black background. Black/gold version is alternate
Amir on Masai: "That shows you he's all in. He's 100% about this team and winning. To have a GM do something like that, that's unheard of"
Masai & members of front office surprised a bus of Raps fans, riding with them to the game in Detroit tonight - singing, trivia, free shirts
Amir was surprised to hear he'll be playing in his 400th game as a Raptor tonight. "Is it? 400? Wow. Its a blessing, 6 years w/ the Raptors"
Of course someone else said: “They stole Vince Carter, we stole their logo."
Raptors staffers, including Masai, seem confident that once fans see the new jerseys (in the summer) everyone will come around to new look
Consensus in locker room - most players dont seem to have a strong opinion on logo, one way or another. Say colors/uniforms more important
Landry Fields is a fan of the new logo. James Johnson too. Amir Johnson didn’t seem to care one way or the other. Some said meh.
Masai also said there were two buses to Detroit. Part-way he boarded the second bus and the fans “went nuts.” Did a Q-and-A.
Masai told us once you see the uniforms, it doesn’t look anything like Brooklyn’s design.
Hearing the "claw" in the basketball of new logo, which I thought was strangely wavy, is actually "claw scratch marks". Okay then
Hey, the Raptors logo has claw marks on it, not an arthritic claw. Just clarifying
Patrick Patterson signs a Canadian flag at the Palace http://t.co/Q9y6Xtk1zG
Would say 80% of the fans here at Palace early are Raptors fans

Asked Casey about logo: "Did we get a new logo?" the man is dialed in. Hadn't seen it
Going to get reaction from Raptors on new logo. First one from DeMar DeRozan was a shrug
JV remains terrible at hiding his emotions, which is both endearing and perhaps not ideal.
Re-reading my Oct. 2012 profile of JV. "Sometimes I get pissed off at myself because I'm not doing well on the court or in life."
