Friday, June 14 & yes, I realize Phil was answering questions, but how about: "I'm just lucky to be able to do something like that; most parents aren't"
In history of NBA playoffs since expanded 16 team format in series tied at 2 the gm 5 winner wins 83.5% of time...in finals 74.1% of time
No sweep of the middle 3 gms again in the 2-3-2 format..Said the team that won 2 gms in SA would win the series ...#nbafinals
Thanks to my Phil Mickelson thread I have been introduced to the term FIGJAM: xxxx I'm Good. Just Ask Me. Classic.
Not saying Phil's not a great Dad etc. I'm sure he is. But he's just doing what he can, like everyone else. /5
A lot of great Mom's and Dad's do the best they can by their kids by missing Bdays, Grads, big games etc. It's called paying the bills. /4
What percentage of working Dad (Moms) would make the same choice if it was a matter of dialing up the Gulfstream? 99%? /3
But also typical that he's the hero of his own 'Father-of-the-year' commercial. How about just go to the grad, come back and shut-up? /2
Phil Mickelson's Father-of-the-year routine is classic Phil. Very sweet that he chose to risk missing tee-time for daughter's Gr.8 grad. /1
There is no doubt he's a better PG than Nash; but is much closer to Magic than most realize and besides Magic, who's better?
& when I say Stockton is 'under appreciated', consider: his WS was routinely top-5, but he never got serious MVP consideration.
If advanced stats were readily available in John Stockton's prime he'd have been better appreciated. Unreal: basketball-reference.com/players/s/stoc…
This was passed on by a friend. It's 1 part awesome...1 part scary as all hell. Check it out. buzzfeed.com/erinchack/why-… (*language warning)
"That's ROI right there - return on investment - money well spent." - Shane Battier on the Big Three tonight
"That wasn’t D-Wade, whatever they call him now ... that was the Flash, that was 2006 Flash in the house tonight." - Shane Battier

Thursday, June 13 Will be lost in James/Wade, but Bosh has been great today. Great defensively, efficient on offence. Force on the boards.
Tony Parker's penetration and kick is deep and just as effective as a post entry that draws a double team #nbafinals
James over 20 points for first time in series. Bosh and Wade combine for 30+ for first time in 8 games #nbafinals
Man, Boris Diaw got that gravity machine workin on him but his YMCA stuff still effective at times...at both ends #experience
Enough with the LeBron comparisons for Wiggins. Let him be who he is. Silly bar to set for him. Besides the McGrady one is more apt
Miami has run Danny Green off the 3pt line all night ...yet the Spurs with a great response to tie the game at half...#nbafinals
This one reminds me of Game 1 a bit. Miami probably playing better than that, yet Spurs again stick around.
Are they still off-balance floaters if Tony Parker takes them? He never seems to actually be off-balance
A different Miami team tonight. Aggressive and determined, dictating tempo and even with Spurs standing in lane...still attacking #nbafinals
Who was that idiot that said Wade was done? Oh yeah, me. Well, apparently the cryogenic chamber worked. He's been fantastic
Last yr when OKC def SAS after being down 2-0 in WCF it was sheer athleticism.Wonder if Miami has realized they're more athletic #nbafinals
Wade and Bosh combine for 14 in the first. They haven't scored more than 30 combined in 7 games. Longest stretch since Bosh joined Heat
Defence a rumour on both sides. Wade has a pulse, LeBron's beasting ... Miami alive, leading 29-26 after a quarter #NBAFinals
The only people that are going to stop Tony Parker tonight are the camera men @Holly MacKenzie
Meanwhile ... It might take a few years, but Justin Jackson and Jamal Murray are coming Canada #pipeline #goldengeneration
Pop quickly got Splitter out. Going small vs. small with his shooters in. Meanwhile, feels like LeBron will live at line today
LeBron's going to have to go 2012 Finals Supernova in this one. Wade can barely move, and Miller never could move on D+ Bosh can't handle TD
Spoelstra was playing coy, but Mike Miller in, Udonis Haslem out. Would think LeBron gets Splitter, Duncan will throttle Bosh though
Wade used to be lethal there too, but now looks like a shell of his former self. He's the guy I'd stop playing major minutes
I know it's the Finals and the Spurs play great D, but surely, there must be a way to get LeBron more touches in the post where he's lethal
Pop went off pre-game on the racist fools who were ripping the 11-year-old anthem singer. Good for him.
Re: Challenge flags, I asked Dwane Casey about them this season in midst of reffing horror against Raptors. He didn't love idea
It is really a shame that no players have approached George "Iceman" Gervin to learn the art of the finger roll. He is willing to teach it.
Does anyone in San Francisco want to house me for free for two nights in late August? Jeez that city is expensive.
Watching my favourite golf tourney. #USOpen Had a pic with the trophy in 2008 at Torrey Pines...#toughesttestingolf http://t.co/csJeURPkCL
Just got my #thelastofus today def gonna start this tonight !! Lets see how @naughtydog did with this one!! http://t.co/VpSWR5Ienx
It's raining so hard this lifelong Niners fan accepted a Cowboys umbrella from the hotel and walked around with it.
Would not be surprised to see the Heat change starters tonight...need to space the floor and get Spurs out of the lane #nbafinals
OK LeBron haters..u can ask what happened last gm but tonight may be different...and give Pop & SAS some credit tinyurl.com/k5uj92b
It's amazing that one could validly argue that Dwyane Wade is a liability right now. I mean, it's Dwyane Wade. But he's been bad.
Okay I know we can't make much of this but Mike Weir is tied for the lead! #babysteps #USOpen #CanadianContent #PGA
Canadian men's basketball team will play Jamaica on Aug 8 and 10 at We're Not Allowed To Call This Maple Leaf Gardens. Ticketmaster has tix.
But seriously: if I just got done playing 19 NBA seasons, during which I was paid $185-million or so in salary, I'd take the next year off.
I am still confused as to why anybody would want to be an NBA head coach (aside from the obvious reason). It sounds like a terrible job.
Just sent my girlfriend a link explaining the Dan Gilbert-comic sans fiasco. This day is off to a rip-roaring start.
Day complete off of only 2hrs of sleep, plan for today is sleep and watch the USopen!! But these clouds don't look to promising smh
"@DavidAmber: For those who've had enough hockey tonight theres a #SavedbytheBell marathon on tbs" (AC Slater would've scored by now (zing))
I was at the Sabres vs Devils quadruple OT playoff game years ago. So i know long games. But I'm about to tap out. This dog is tired.
