Rodney Hood will lead off the series on Thursday followed by Trevor Booker on Friday. Steve Novak, Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors next week
Starting tomorrow Locked on Jazz will be releasing the Get to Know your Utah Jazz Series of Podcasts. 13 part series running until Nov 26th
Situation is still fluid with every other team making roster moves, but everything I have heard is Jazz will open year with 15 players
It's an act of kindness and mercy that the Jazz made their camp cuts before the team has its annual autograph day.
The Utah Jazz have waived F Jack Cooley and G Dahntay Jones today. Following the moves, the Jazz roster now stands at 15 players.
So that's why Utah beat North Carolina in the '98 national semifinals. All the Tar Heel players were worn out from not studying.
5) The proposed wheel which equalizes everything, the proposal that failed today both take away some advantage a smaller market might have
4) Therefore, if both free agency and trading favors the larger markets in the current CBA you can't equalize the draft process
3) In the new CBA contracts are shorter making it harder for a small market team to trade for disgruntled star player who could leave in FA
2) Free agnecy is unequal by definition. Certain markets, usually large have a built in advantage over smaller markets
A few thoughts on NBA Lottery Reform - 1) 3 ways to acquire players - free agency, trades and draft.
Jones played in all six preseason games and averaged 3.1 points and 1 rebound in 12 minutes a night. Very vocal and encouraging from bench.
Morrill calls schedule challenging. games vs. Weber State and BYU. Road games at Illinois State, Mississippi State, USC.
Firavun'un Karşısında Olmak Yetmez, Musa'nın (a.s) Yanında Olmak Gerekir. Vav Gibi Doğmak Yetmez, Elif Gibi Dimdik Durmak ve Yaşamak Gerekir
Morrill: "This is my 29th team as a Division I head coach ... and I like this team."
I'm seeing that the Jazz-Suns game live-stream will be limited to a 75-mile radius of SLC. I'm guessing there are clever ways around this.
Utah State sophomore Jalen Moore, the most experienced returnee says, "Every new player we've got is capable of playing at this level."
Morrill says of the voters in preseason poll know anything about 10 new players on the Aggie roster.
Utah State coach Stew Morrill on Mountain West conference call: "Understandable, not enjoyable, we were picked 10th" in preseason poll.
exciting news and great work by bill lea and the crew the jazz will be live streaming the final preseason game
I don't think so... http://t.co/XTLlzm8d2w
You can tell NBA GMs like the Jazz's draft. Rodney Hood voted the biggest steal and Dante Exum got votes for being best of class in 5 years.
I can't wait to see what Jazz CEO Greg Miller tweets about voting against NBA Draft Lottery reform.
When I think about the Sixers/tanking, I can't help but repost this photo of the security door at Wells Fargo Center. http://t.co/eRJyd46cAM
Very Strange. Phil Jackson on Quincy Acy. But Acy played in Sac/Tor last year - Quincy Miller played in Denver http://t.co/g62Vr00x1t
Interesting on lottery reform that the no votes included San Antontio, Utah, Atlanta and Thunder - all with ties back to SA franchise
Draft lottery reform voted down. If you believe Vegas Over Under on Wins this is good news for Jazz in short term
Today's tip off was either the first of many reduced sleep insanity driving discussion, too much coffee or too much pre-season hoops
One of my first ever assignments for the Trib was covering PG/Lone Peak and CJ Wilcox. Crazy to see him in the league right now
Former Pleasant Grove High star CJ Wilcox getting some run
Reggie Miller is very wrong. Trevor Ariza is NOT an upgrade from Chandler Parsons. No way.
Don't be shocked if Golden State comes out of the west this year
Dropped a whole coconut cream pie on floor, face down. Does 5 second rule apply?
Keep telling myself tonight the Giants had fourth-best record in the National League, finished only 15 games ahead of the Cubs.
Trey Burke plus/minus tonight: Plus 33
Utah shot 7-27 from 3-point range tonight....and still scored 105 points
Derrick Favors had 12 points, 15 rebounds and 2 blocked shots...
Russell Westbrook had 14 points, 11 assists and five rebounds....6-16 from the field
Trey Burke had 23 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds....zero turnovers
Enes Kanter scored a game-high 27 points and added seven rebounds in 29 minutes. Easily his best preseason performance
What a night for Enes Kanter (27 points, 7 rebs) and Trey Burke (23 pts, 5 assists, 0 TOs, +33).
These mood swings during the college football season in Utah aren't really healthy, are they? NBA, you can see things coming.
Rough night for the rookies. Rodney Hood went 0-7 and Dante Exum was 0-4 off the bench.
Jazz starters played very well in a nice 105-91 win at OKC to improve to 5-2 in preseason. Exhibition finale Friday at home vs. Suns.
Alec Burks with 13 free-throw attempts tonight
Here comes J Evans. Enes won't get 30
Enes Kanter may get 30....has 27
Jones has 18. He's really looked good tonight
Perry Jones with a great move, scores on Rudy Gobert and is fouled
And then Burke strips Telfair and goes coast for a hoop....Damn, Bassy
Trey Burke, Alec Burks, Gordon Hayward, Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors have all scored in double digits when starting together in preseason.
Trey Burke just buried a three in Telfair's face. I guess the OKC run is finished
Jazz now with all five starters on the floor to finish. So no experimenting tonight. This has been a regular season rotation game
I think Arizona will be the only school remotely capable of sweeping the Pac-12 Mountain road swing this season
Bench in the game, lead down to 87-76. Do we have a repeat of Sunday?
I'm betting Westbrook is finished for the night. Has played 27 min, Brooks wanted to play him 25
Do the Jazz starters play the fourth? Utah up 85-69 heading into the final period
Dante Exum is not playing well tonight. Rookie life
All five Jazz starters in double figures. Derrick Favors with 11 points and 15 rebounds, completely controlling the paint
Wonder if that may drop them a seed or two
If Kevin Durant makes it back by the beginning of December, the Thunder should be fine. But they could struggle for the first month
Jazz up 83-63 with 3:11 remaining in the third period
The Thunder look like a team trying to learn how to play without the second best player in the world
This Jazz team is fun to watch in transition. And so far this preseason they've changed ends very quickly
