It sounds like the Knicks will be without big man Kenyon Martin for a while. Mike Woodson said before Saturday's game that Martin will be sidelined for "a little bit" due to an abdominal injury he suffered on Friday. The coach did not receive an official diagnosis from the team's medical staff as of Saturday evening. "I know he's going to be out a little bit. I don't know how many weeks or days it's actually going to be," Woodson said. "They still are assessing him right now and seeing the severity of it so we'll have to just wait and see." ESPN.com

For a while there, the Nuggets had the Mount Rushmore of NBA egos in the same room — Allen Iverson, Kenyon Martin, J.R. Smith and Anthony. One time, Smith had Martin's car filled with buttered popcorn, and Martin came storming into the locker room, screaming expletives and threatening violence. Denver Post

Kenyon Martin no longer will rotate games, according to a source. His platoon with Amar’e Stoudemire officially is over — at least on Martin’s end. Stoudemire may continue to play every other game for the time being, though Woodson hasn’t been clear. A new firm arrangement is in place where Martin has been cleared by the medical staff to play every game — unless his ankles are hurting, according to sources. New York Post
