The biggest obstacle for Saric coming to the NBA before the end of his two-year contract with Anadolu Efes remains financial. When Saric signed with the team prior to the NBA Draft, he signed on for two seasons. A source familiar with the contract told NJ Advance Media that there is absolutely no buyout clause in the contract whatsoever. The only way Saric could get out of the contract before the start of the 2016 NBA season would be if his team let him out. Newark Star-Ledger

Although the contract Saric signed is very black-and-white, one very big wild card in the whole situation is his father, Pedrag. The elder Saric has reached his boiling point with Anadolu Efes, a source told NJ Advance Media, and could force his way out of the contract. As he was quoted in a Croatian newspaper, Pedrag is not happy that his son has been inactive the first two games. It was Pedrag who insisted Saric sign on overseas instead of going to the NBA. One of the names which are expected to be drafted from Europe is Vasilije Micic. The 20 years old Serbian point guard is expected to leave this summer Mega Vizura, he is arguably the best player of his age in his position and he is also rumored to be a target of Anadolu Efes, like an other big draft prospect, Dario Saric. As he said to Eurohoops during the Eurocamp at Treviso, no matter what happens in the draft, he would like to stay in Europe for the immediate future: “I played four years in Mega and I think now it’s time for the next level. I don’t want to go… to make a big step in my career. I want to go step by step, because always when I tried to make some big steps, I made mistakes. So I think that my next step will be a something in Europe”. EuroHoops.net

The buy out for Saric to Cibona is 1.2 million euros and it will be paid by Efes in three annual installments. This summer the Croatian team will receive 400.000 euros. The same amount (1.2 m. euros) is the NBA out included in the new contract with Efes. As for the player, despite the rumors about a monster deal, his total contract with Anadolu Efes is worth around 2 million euros in total for three seasons according to sources from Turkey. Considering the age of the player, it’s not a bad deal and we have to note that those are net amounts. EuroHoops.net
