“Archie doesn’t want out of Phoenix,” Goodwin’s agent, Charles Briscoe, told RealGM on Wednesday. “His words have been twisted in a recent article. We’re willing to wait for Archie’s opportunity. Any player in the NBA wants to play immediately, but we understand that Phoenix is in a playoff push. If we have to wait for next year, we’re OK with that. We know he will get his opportunity, and he’ll be ready.” RealGM

The Suns have a logjam at the guard position that isn't making anyone happy. Phoenix got Isaiah Thomas in a sign-and-trade with the Kings last summer, adding him to a group that already included Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic and Gerald Green. It drafted Tyler Ennis, signed guard Zoran Dragic (Goran's brother) and recently added another wing, Reggie Bullock, in a trade with the Clippers. The moves puzzled Goodwin. “I don’t know what they’re doing,” Goodwin said. “Honestly, I really don’t. I guess they know what they’re doing — I can just play ball and let them make the decisions. I don’t know what the purpose is for it, but there is nothing I can do about it.” Sporting News

Suns guard Archie Goodwin was arrested outside an Arkansas skating rink earlier this month and charged with disorderly conduct and refusal to submit to arrest. Goodwin, 19, was leaving the Arkansas Skatium, an ice and roller rink in his hometown of Little Rock, on May 4 when the incident occurred at approximately 11 p.m., according to Arkansas State Police public information officer Bill Sadler. A state trooper witnessed Goodwin cursing and "exhibiting aggressive gestures" toward another person while exiting the building and the trooper reported telling Goodwin twice to stop cursing twice, Sadler said. Goodwin was taken into custody but the trooper said Goodwin tried to break away from the trooper's hold during the arrest, according to Sadler. Goodwin then was booked into a Sherwood, Ark., jail. Goodwin has a June 3 district court date regarding the charges. Arizona Republic
