With this all in mind, it's no surprise that the organization is reportedly set to bring 66ers' guard Tony Taylor Jr. aboard its Summer League team this coming July. OKC clearly appreciates promising young talent, and Taylor undoubtedly did what he could all season long to prove he was just that. After starting the season off strongly, the GWU alum took a back seat to NBA veteran Chris Quinn, who was brought in by the team midseason. Ridiculous Upside |

NBA.com Priority Sports: Congrats to @ChrisQuinn11 on signing with the Cleveland @cavs! #Perseverance #AllForOne Twitter ![]() The injury bug has bitten the Cleveland Cavaliers hard as of late. Already without Kyrie Irving and Anderson Varejao, the Cavs recently learned that Dion Waiters will sit out a week to nurse a sore knee. The guard may end up needing surgery. Unable to find a way to quite stop the bleeding just yet, a source tells RidiculousUpside.com that Cleveland will turn to the NBA D-League for a bandaid of sorts. The source says the Cavaliers will bring aboard NBA veteran and current Tulsa 66ers guard Chris Quinn, who was not seen in uniform on Tuesday night when his team took on the number one seeded Bakersfield Jam. A five year veteran of three NBA teams, Quinn last appeared in The Association during the 2010-11 season with San Antonio. He was also one of final cuts during training camp last fall with the Utah Jazz. Ridiculous Upside |

So, for now, Quinn is back in his offseason home of Columbus, Ohio, doing drills and cardio work with a trainer to try to simulate NBA shape. But nothing can substitute for going up and down the floor, again and again, day after day. Quinn's agent, Mark Bartlestein, works the phones to Europe and basketball leagues around the world and in the States. "He's an NBA player, no question about it," Bartlestein said. "He proved it this preseason. If the right opportunity came over in Europe, he'd take a look at it." NBA.com |

Spurs guard Chris Quinn isn’t sure who is to blame for the Miami Heat’s sluggish start. He just knows it isn’t all on coach Erik Spoelstra. Quinn, who spent the first three seasons of his career with Miami from 2006-09, considers himself “a Spoelstra fan.” “He works extremely hard. He’s dedicated to the game,” Quinn said. “He knows his Xs and Os.” San Antonio Express-News From afar, Quinn is hopeful his former team will hang with his former coach. “I think more than anything, ever since the Big Three went there, everything got magnified a lot – wins, losses, everything,” Quinn said. “Obviously they have a lot of talent, successful guys who have been in the league a long time. I think they’ll be fine in the long run.” San Antonio Express-News |
