After playing well as sixth man for the Santa Cruz Warriors in the D-League this past season, a source tells RidiculousUpside.com that former Bucks' forward Darington Hobson is eyeing a gig in China for the upcoming year. Ridiculous Upside

By signing with a team in China, Hobson is likely to forgo any "NBA out" clause he would normally be accustomed to when signing an international deal with another team overseas. That said, the CBA concludes its season a little bit earlier than other international leagues, making it possible for Hobson to come home to the states and cash in on his success by catching on with an NBA team if so desired. Ridiculous Upside

Though the Warriors essentially let the 87ers take Hobson away, they could have, nevertheless, still invited him to NBA training camp had they wanted to. Instead, RidiculousUpside.com has learned exclusively that two of his Santa Cruz teammates (Cameron Jones and Scott Machado) are expected to be in camp instead. What's more, Stephen Curry's little brother, Seth, is expected to be in town for that as well. Needless to say, Hobson wasn't at all too pleased about that. Ridiculous Upside

The former New Mexico star would later re-sign with the team before this season, but he became a victim of numbers game and was released after making only five brief appearances. Long story short, Hobson went back home to Las Vegas to rehab, and now—with his hip back at 100%–he feels ready to contribute to an NBA team. “The hip is fine,” Hobson told HOOPSWORLD. “Fully recovered. I say like March this year is when I started to notice a big difference. I was supposed to be fully healed probably in April. So I was ahead of the game as far as how I was feeling.” HoopsWorld

The Bucks released guard Darington Hobson on Friday morning, bringing their roster to 14 players, one shy of the league maximum. But coach Scott Skiles said no move was imminent to fill the empty roster spot. "We're always looking but it's not, right at this moment, leading to anything," Skiles said after the morning shoot-around at the Palace of Auburn Hills. "It's just a decision we made and it does free up a roster spot. "But as of today it doesn't have any relevance on any other move." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
