Darrell Arthur insists the decision isn't final, but ask him about next season and he'll tell you he's looking forward to it being in a Nuggets uniform. Arthur must make a decision about a player option for next season, the second and final year of his contract, which is due to pay him $3.45 million. "I'm just going to wait until the season is over with and talk to (Nuggets general manager) Tim (Connelly) and see what's up and go from there," Arthur said. "But I'm looking forward to coming back here. I like it here. I feel like when we're healthy, we have a great team to build with, and I want to be a part of it." Boulder Daily Camera

Going into Monday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the fifth-year pro was averaging 5.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game in a role primarily off the bench. He had one start. "As far as right now, I'm definitely looking forward to staying," Arthur said. Boulder Daily Camera

But sources say that the Raptors, undaunted by that stance, continue to pursue Gay and also covet Grizzlies forward Darrell Arthur. Toronto, sources said, has made veteran point guard Jose Calderon and blossoming young forward Ed Davis available as the two cornerstones of its offer. ESPN.com

If talks with the Raptors do progress, according to sources, it's possible that a trade with Memphis could expand to include other teams and players. NBA front-office sources have maintained for weeks that Calderon (who has an expiring contract), fellow Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry (only $1 million in guaranteed salary next season) and former No. 1 overall pick Andrea Bargnani all are available. Grizzlies forward Darrell Arthur is on this road trip with the team, and one would think he's playing given his appearance before tipoffs. A sweat-drenched Arthur walked off the court Friday night about an hour before the Griz faced the Golden State Warriors. The 6-9 reserve isn't cleared to play or participate in contact practices. But Arthur works relentlessly on his conditioning and has targeted Dec. 1 for his return to action from the leg fracture he suffered in September. Memphis Commercial Appeal
