The Boston Celtics announced today that they have signed forward D.J. White to a multi-year contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. White, a 6’9” forward, has appeared in four games for the Celtics since he was signed to his original 10-day contract on February 28. In those four games, White has averaged 2.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per game. NBA.com

After a playing through a pair of 10-day contracts, D.J. White will be a member of the Boston Celtics for the rest of the season, CSNNE.com has learned. The 6-9 forward gives the Celtics another big man as they prepare for the playoffs. They can use the extra body -- not only has Kevin Garnett has missed the last two games (left adductor strain, flu), head coach Doc Rivers has wanted to be able to rest his veterans during practice. With the arrival of a clearance letter from the Chinese Basketball Association on Wednesday, the Boston Celtics will sign free agent forward D.J.
