Turner admitted that he and Collins clashed at times. In those moments, according to Turner, he often looked to Curry to smooth the waters. "He was great because he was calm in certain situations, and that helps," Turner said. "He never really panicked. That's something that players need." Philadelphia Inquirer

So far, the 76er hasn't had the impact expected as the second overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft. Despite that, Turner said that he'll be a Sixer next season even though his name has come up before in trade rumors. "Not to be arrogant or cocky, but my name comes up, I believe, because of trade value in that situation," Turner said. "Regardless of whether I get heat for certain situations or certain bad nights and stuff, I still think I'm a valuable player in this league." Philadelphia Inquirer

A report by ESPN's Chris Broussard said that swingman Evan Turner, who is averaging career highs in points (13.8), rebounds (6.6), assists (4.4) and minutes (36.2), is on the trading block, though an NBA source told the Daily News nothing is going on with Turner. Philadelphia Inquirer

Websites have speculated about a possible trade that would send Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes to Atlanta for soon-to-be unrestricted free agent Josh Smith, but such a deal would not interest the 76ers, according to two league sources with knowledge of the situation. "Why would the Sixers be interested in making a deal for a player who can walk at the end of the season and leave them holding nothing but the bag?" one source said. "I don't see where that makes sense for them." Philadelphia Inquirer

It's not exactly a shock the Sixers might be willing to part with former Ohio State shooting guard Evan Turner. There are questions about his perimeter shooting and what position he plays. News-Herald

"I'm not a GM, so I really don't know [my trade value]," Turner said. "I think it's all about what our team needs, and that's it. Whatever. I think that the best is yet to come with me in general, wherever it occurs." Turner is making $5.3 million this season. In October, the Sixers picked up his $6.7 million option for next season. Turner did not say he'd be opposed to a trade. "It's not my choice to be traded or not, you know?" Turner said. "So if it happens, it happens. . . . What I want doesn't matter. If it did, life would be way different." Philadelphia Inquirer

The Sixers, sources say, are open to a shakeup as they continue to wait for the return of Andrew Bynum to give All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday some badly needed help. And I'm told Philly, as such, is shopping (or at least making calls to gauge the value of) swingman Evan Turner. ESPN.com
