“I’m gonna play P.J,” Clifford said following the 122-119 double-overtime victory. Clifford spoke with Henderson before the game, preparing him for the possibility he might not play Friday. “Gerald was terrific – professional and team-first,” Clifford said. “It’s not forever. He missed all eight preseason games and he hasn’t gotten his rhythm.” Charlotte Observer

Charlotte shooting guard Gerald Henderson, who played with him at Duke, observed what makes McRoberts' approach distinctive. "When most players hear, 'Participate in the offense,' that means score," Henderson said. "With Josh, it's about figuring how we can all perform better at that end of the court. He could score more, but that's not a priority. He knows what he's good at and he practices that very well." ADN.com

The NBA playoffs technically start for the Charlotte Bobcats in two weeks. But tri-captain Gerald Henderson’s message, following Saturday’s post-season clinching 96-94 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, was a good kind of greedy. “Wednesday we’re playing (sixth-place) Washington. Charlotte Bobcats shooting guard Gerald Henderson practiced Tuesday after missing the past five games with a strained right calf. He believes he’ll be fine to play Wednesday against the Washington Wizards. “I feel good,” Henderson said after a post-practice game of one-on-one against Jannero Pargo. “It’s tough having to be out in that stretch. But I wanted to get myself back to 100 percent and not have that calf bother me the rest of the season. Charlotte Observer

Gerald Henderson, who played college basketball at Duke and now starts at shooting guard for the Charlotte Bobcats, said he has never been afraid to fly. Nor has he ever had a teammate that he knew of who suffered from that malady. But he admitted that he's endured the occasional scare in the air as well. "One time in college, we hit an air pocket and the plane dipped down about 50 feet. Laptops were flying in the air throughout the cabin, and drinks and stuff. That was pretty wild and scary," Henderson said. SportsonEarth

You have to be on the lookout when you're at a sporting event. At baseball games, a foul ball can come screaming at your head or a bat can go flying into the stands. At football games, you've got to be careful a beer isn't being thrown at the person next to you. When you're at a game between the Charlotte Bobcats and the Milwaukee Bucks, you have to be careful of errant passes flying at your dome. Just ask the lady above who was walking behind the Bucks' bench when Gerald Henderson thought she was open. CBSSports.com
