The Nets will hold the final draft workout at their New Jersey practice facility today. The headline name among the six players who are scheduled to attend is Louisville center Gorgui Dieng, who anchored the Cardinals’ defense on their way to the national championship. The other players expected to participate are Ohio State forward Deshaun Thomas and four local products: Miami guard Durand Scott, who starred at Rice High School; USC guard Jio Fontan, who began his collegiate career at Fordham after playing high school ball with Nets guard Tyshawn Taylor at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City; St. Bonaventure forward Demetrius Conger and Division III Farmingdale State center A.J. Matthews, both of whom are Brooklyn natives. New York Post

Louisville center Gorgui Dieng appears to be working out for the Hawks today. Deng tweeted late Thursday afternoon, from his account@GorguiDieng, that he was "Going to Atlanta." Two hours later, he tweeted that he "Had a safe flight to Atlanta." He appears to have worked out for the Mavericks after tweeting "Nice weather in Dallas" prior to his posts about going to Atlanta. Olynyk headlined a workout that featured 12 players, including at least three post players who are projected to be drafted in the first round. The fact that the Jazz already have two promising young big men, Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors, under contract, did not keep them from bringing in some top prospects. In addition to Olynyk, the Jazz worked out 7-foot-1 French center Rudy Gobert and Louisville center Gorgui Dieng, who are both projected to go in the middle of the first round. Salt Lake Tribune

Louisville center Gorgui Dieng, who's projected to be a late first-round pick, will work out for the Knicks and Nets before the June 27 draft, his agent, Makhtar N'Diaye, confirmed with ESPNNewYork.com. The Knicks are looking into drafting a big man to upgrade their diminished frontcourt, and Dieng could arguably be the best center available in the late first round. The Knicks pick at No. 24. As for the Nets, who have the 22nd selection, they're interested in a defensive-minded backup behind Brook Lopez. ESPN.com
