In their old Athens neighborhood of Sepolia Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo played once again a pick up basketball game in the open gym of Triton, where they learned the sport. Dozens of local residents gathered around them and also had the chance to play with them, like their old friends and teammates Sokratis Psaropoulos and Kanelos Garbis. After the game which was announced by the brothers themselves via social media, Giannis said: “I want to thank every one and all the kids who came to see us. We will try to do it every year in order to have fun with out friends and remember old times. I will always miss my neighborhood. Two days after the playoffs I am back here. That says everything”. Now, you got back at Beograd. Which is the next goal of yours? Are you talking with European teams? You prefer to try and find again a contract in the NBA? There are some rumors that a greek team approached you? Is it true? My next goal is to heal my ankle totally so I can be ready for whatever comes next. That is most important thing for me right now. I didn’t talk directly to European teams (Greek teams too) but they showed some interest in me although I was waiting to see how situation with the Wolves will end up. It ended like you all know, but I decided that my health is most important. I will see when my recovery will end up and I’ll try to choose what is best for me in that moment.
