Despite speculation surrounding his future in the NBA, Gustavo Ayon expects the Milwaukee Bucks to pick up the team option on his contract for next season and is looking forward to returning, his agent Emilio Duran told RealGM. The Bucks traded for Ayon in the deal that brought them J.J. Redick, and the organization insisted that the Orlando Magic include Ayon. From the start, the Bucks have let Ayon and his agent know that playing time would be scarce this season, but they would prioritize him long-term. “Gustavo likes Milwaukee, he just really wants to help the team and as far as we’ve been indicated he will be with the Bucks next season,” Duran said. “He wants to keep getting better there and help out.” RealGM |

“I’m excited to play," Ayon said. “I’m excited to play basketball regardless of the location. It is my passion. Last season was amazing for me, I was playing (in New Orleans) and things were going well but this season has been terrible for me. “Without stability and regular playing time I find it hard to motivate myself. I want to be playing, not sitting on the bench. If in a year my contract runs out and I am not playing here I would return to Europe.” Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel "What I see so far is a guy who is a physical player, with very good basketball skills," Boylan said. "He kind of has a feel for the game and sees the action coming. "He's a good passer. I haven't had enough practice time with him to really get up and scrimmage and see what's going on, to have a totally confident feeling to give you an evaluation of him. "But what I see so far I really like. I think he's a good piece for our team in the future. This year, just given the circumstances, the trade came at midseason and we have a lot of guys at that position (power forward). Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

![]() Gustavo Ayon: FC Barcelona has not reached out to me. But If it was up to me, if it was my call, we would have talked already. Since it's basically not up to me, I don't want to cause them any harm by telling them I could go there. If the situation continues like this this season and the following one, I would love to go over there. SER Gustavo Ayon: Here it's gotten to the point of being asked, "Hey, what can you do?" I'm like, "You can watch tape and you see can what I can or I can't do." SER Gustavo Ayon: You realize you're not taken into consideration. You are compared to guys that are just filling out the roster and I'm not one of those. SER |
