HoopsHype Henry Thomas rumors
Agent Henry Thomas, who represents Haslem, Wade and Bosh, said Haslem would take the weekend to sort through all of his options. ``This is a tough decision for [Haslem] because this is home both from the standpoint of growing up and from the standpoint of his NBA career, the only team he has played for,'' Thomas said. ``But he is a free agent and has interest from other teams. ``He is evaluating his options very seriously and hopes to have clarity early next week.'' The Raptors have yet to be informed of Bosh's intentions by his Chicago-based agent, Henry Thomas, who also represents Wade. Thomas did not respond to requests for comment from CBSSports.com. But the Raptors, aware that Bosh has been a goner for a while, are "100 percent" prepared to move forward with sign-and-trade proposals with the Heat in order to facilitate their All-Star power forward's departure without losing him and getting nothing in return. The Knicks were still trying to find out if they had any shot with James while monitoring the Wade situation. They cannot move on to lower-level free agents until James’ decision comes down tomorrow night. A Knicks official said of Wade, “I think we are still in there.” However, another source close to Wade, said, “I don’t think he wants to live in New York.” The James-Bosh-Wade triangle is holding up the Knicks and the league. “My guys are still weighing everything,” Wade/Bosh agent Henry Thomas told The Post. “They received a lot of information last week and they are carefully evaluating it. They have both taken this process very seriously and want to feel comfortable that they have considered everything in view of all of the factors that are important to them. It is fair to say that for both of them, coming to decision has been a bit more difficult than they anticipated.” New York Post
The Raptors, sources say, were willing to work with Bosh on a sign-and-trade to Cleveland, which would've provided the best possible assets in return for Toronto and given Bosh his six-year, $125 million max contract. But that result also can be achieved with the Heat, and two executives -- one directly involved in the maneuverings and one on the periphery -- said it was time to break out those scenarios and begin giving them serious consideration. "[Bosh] can force Toronto's hand," one of the executives said. "He's got control here, not Toronto" CBSSports.com
In an e-mail to The Miami Herald on Tuesday, Bosh's agent, Henry Thomas, who also represents Wade, said Bosh has not ruled out any of his preferred suitors. Thomas also referred to speculation Bosh already has decided on a destination as ``not true.'' Miami Herald
Henry Thomas, agent for free agent forward Chris Bosh and free agent guard Dwyane Wade sent an e-mail to FOX 26 Sports Tuesday stating his clients are still in the midst of the decision-making process. The Rockets made Bosh their number one target during NBA free agency. Both he and Wade are being sought after by a number of teams. "My guys are still weiging everything," Thomas wrote in his e-mail. "They recieved a lot of information last week and they are carefully evaluating it. They have both taken this process very seriously and want to feel comfortable that they have considered everything in view of all the factors that are important to them. "It is fair to say that for both of them, coming to a decision has been a bit more difficult than they anticipated." FOX 26 Sports
