![]() Free agent forward Jamario Moon believes he’s the logical choice to help fill the small forward void and clearly makes it known the Hawks are an organization he’d like to play for in 2012-13. “Atlanta makes sense to me,” Moon told HOOPSWORLD on where he would fit best. “Danny was the general manager when I was playing for Cleveland and [Hawks assistant general manager] Wes Wilcox was there too. They already know me and what I bring. It just makes sense.” HoopsWorld Moon has career averages of 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds on 46 percent shooting in 286 games over five seasons. In 157 career starts, Moon has averaged 7.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. The veteran forward has been working out in Atlanta during the offseason and says he’s ready to get back on the court and is in great shape. “All they have to do is give me a call,” Moon said. “I’m ready to work and do whatever the coaching staff asks of me.” HoopsWorld |

Sources claim that Olshey had sculpted at least one trade for Davis during the previous offseason, but the deal was scuttled by owner Donald T. Sterling. At the trade deadline in February 2011, Olshey finally pushed a deal through, sending Davis (and his hefty contract) and an unprotected 2011 draft pick to Cleveland in exchange for Mo Williams (shorter contract) and Jamario Moon. NBA (and D-League/CBA/Mexico/CBA/USBL/ABA/Globetrotters/everywhere) veteran Jamario Moon signed a D-League contract on Tuesday, allowing him to join a team once he clears the D-League waiver system on Thursday. A fellow NBA vet is expected to join him soon, too, as sources indicate Dan Gadzuric is also planning to sign with the D-League in the coming days. Ridiculous Upside |

![]() The Charlotte Bobcats plan to audition Bostjan Nachbar and Jamario Moon today, looking for another small forward to fill out the roster. The Bobcats chose not to match a Memphis Grizzlies offer sheet on restricted free-agent forward Dante Cunningham. Doing so would have obligated the Bobcats to about $4 million in total guarantees this season and next. With long-range shooter Reggie Williams recovering from surgery to repair knee cartilage, player-personnel chief Rod Higgins would like another scoring option. Charlotte Observer |

I’m not going to try to tell you that Jamario Moon is a good rapper, but he sounds decent, like a sub-Project Pat peripheral Three 6 Mafia affiliate. Plus, J-Lunar is a great rap name for a guy with the last name Moon, and he seems to be having a wonderful time rapping because he’s smiling the entire video. The Score |
