The Charlotte Bobcats plan to audition Bostjan Nachbar and Jamario Moon today, looking for another small forward to fill out the roster. The Bobcats chose not to match a Memphis Grizzlies offer sheet on restricted free-agent forward Dante Cunningham. Doing so would have obligated the Bobcats to about $4 million in total guarantees this season and next. With long-range shooter Reggie Williams recovering from surgery to repair knee cartilage, player-personnel chief Rod Higgins would like another scoring option. Charlotte Observer

Tas Melas: Jamario Moon signing to play with Quebec of Canada's NBL. Huge name grab for the league (yes, Moon is a huge name grab). Twitter

I’m not going to try to tell you that Jamario Moon is a good rapper, but he sounds decent, like a sub-Project Pat peripheral Three 6 Mafia affiliate. Plus, J-Lunar is a great rap name for a guy with the last name Moon, and he seems to be having a wonderful time rapping because he’s smiling the entire video. The Score

The Clippers and Cavaliers were spared additional complications when the Clippers were told by Cleveland this morning that Baron Davis passed his physical, the Clippers said in an e-mail Sunday. This means the trade between the teams will be completed when the Clippers get the final word from the NBA. The Clippers sent Davis and a future first-round draft pick to Cleveland in exchange for guard Mo Williams and small forward Jamario Moon. Los Angeles Times

The Los Angeles Clippers expect their trade of guard Baron Davis and a first round pick for Cleveland's Mo Williams and Jamario Moon to go through on Sunday, despite a delay in Davis taking and passing his physical. The trade must be completed by 5 p.m. ET on Sunday. Williams and Moon passed their physicals on Friday, but were held out of both Friday and Saturday night's games because Davis still hasn't passed his physical. ESPN.com

The Los Angeles Clippers have reached an agreement in principle to send Baron Davis to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Mo Williams, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The Cavaliers will also get an unprotected 2011 first-round pick from the Clippers while sending back forward Jamario Moon. Yahoo! Sports

The Clippers and the Cavaliers agreed in principle Wednesday to a deal that would send veteran point guard Baron Davis to Cleveland for guard Mo Williams, according to a league source who was not authorized to speak about the trade discussions. There are other moving parts to the deal, which should be finalized by Thursday morning or afternoon, barring unforeseen complications, the source said. The Clippers will also send their No. 1 pick from the upcoming draft in June to Cleveland, getting back small forward Jamario Moon in return. Moon is averaging 4.5 points this season. Williams is averaging 13.3 points and 7.1 assists. Los Angeles Times

Both Powe and Jamario Moon are expected to have their contracts bought out, rendering both free agents, but it won't happen before the trade deadline, a league source said. Powe quietly approached management earlier this season and asked to be moved if he wasn't going to play. His recurring knee troubles and lack of consistent playing time have stripped him of any real trade value, but he could help a contender as another big off the bench. ''We're trying to work on something,'' Powe said of a buyout. ''I want an opportunity to play. You brought me out here to play; you might as well just move me on.'' Akron Beacon Journal

Forward Jamario Moon inexplicably played 21 minutes in the Memphis game. He hadn’t played any meaningful minutes for weeks, it seems. Many ask why he doesn’t play. The Cavs don’t seem to like his devil-may-care attitude. He’ll likely be included in a deal at the deadline. Morning Journal

Forward Jamario Moon went from being the starter at small forward to not playing at all against Detroit. “I’m just looking at other guys,” Scott said. “Joey (Graham) played pretty well for a while and hasn’t played real well the last few games. Jawad (Williams) has played pretty good.” Moon said he didn’t break any team rules. “I didn’t do anything,” he said. “I don’t know. I’m lost. It was the first time I haven’t played since I was a rookie and I wasn’t playing. “I’m trying to figure it out, too. I’m not going to make a big fuss about it. I’ll be there when he calls my name. You have to take the good with the bad.” Morning Journal
