Phoenix Suns training camp invite James Nunnally has reached agreement on a deal to return to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA D-League, a league source told RealGM. Following three games with the Suns in the preseason, Nunnally was released and had been evaluating options overseas and in the D-League before deciding to return to Bakersfield. He averaged 10.3 points and nearly three rebounds in 19.7 minutes a game with Bakersfield a season ago. RealGM
The Phoenix Suns signed guard/forward James Nunnally on Saturday. The 23-year-old Nunnally averaged 13.0 points and shot 57.7 percent from the field and 63.0 percent from 3-point range for the Miami Heat in the Las Vegas Summer League. As he continues to workout for an array of NBA squads this month, RidiculousUpside.com has learned that James Nunnally has already received a training camp invite from the Memphis Grizzlies. Ridiculous Upside
Though receiving such an invite is quite an honor in itself, the guard's work is not yet done. He'll continue to workout for other teams as scheduled this week, including the Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans. Ridiculous Upside
Not James Nunnally, though. At least not yet, anyway. The swingman spent this past season with the Bakersfield Jam, averaging 10.3 points (on 43% from the field and 41% from deep) and 3 rebounds through 49 contests. Working his way up from starting out as a lesser-known rookie, Nunnally emerged as sixth man of the Jam by the time the postseason rolled around. As he heads into the sophomore campaign of his professional career, Nunnally has his sights set on catching on with an NBA team. A source has confirmed to RidiculousUpside.com that the UC Santa Barbara alum will work out for the Spurs on Tuesday. Ridiculous Upside
