It appears the Bulls aren't completely done with their late-season roster maneuvers. A pair of veterans who have played for the team in the past, point guard Mike James and power forward Lou Amundson, will be signing with the Bulls in the near future, according to a league source. James played for the Bulls earlier this season and Amundson, who played for New Orleans earlier in the campaign, was briefly on the team last season. Both players would be playoff-eligible because neither was on an NBA roster on March 1. CSN Chicago

Williams correctly points out the club could not anticipate second-year power forward Darius Miller suffering a stress fracture in his left foot that required corrective surgery in September, sidelining him indefinitely, nor the toe chip fracture sustained by forward Ryan Anderson that still keeps him off the floor and could for several more weeks. Tuesday moves, he said, have been pondered for the last few weeks. "I don't make rash decisions," Williams said. "It's like everybody always thinks the worst all the time. It's seven games. There's no need for all that. We're going to try to tweak our roster as best we can to try to get better. That's the bottom line." New Orleans Times-Picayune

If he makes the Clippers’ 15-man roster, Amundson would be playing for his ninth NBA team in seven seasons in the league. Even though surrounded by uncertainty about making an NBA roster, Amundson is taking it in stride and staying focused on doing the things he does best. “I’m thankful for this opportunity,” he said. “I can’t worry about stuff I can’t control. I’m just going out there and playing the best and hardest way I know.” Las Vegas Sun

Amundson had meetings with the Lakers and Clippers and even worked out at the team’s respective facilities in recent weeks, but it remains unclear if he winds up playing in Los Angeles. The Clippers have 14 players under contract, and would likely add one more player to fit the league maximum at training camp, according to a league source familiar with the team’s thought process. But the Clippers remain flexible in adding another player before training camp, the source said. Los Angeles Daily News

The Lakers have 12 players under contract and need to add another player to their roster before training camp starts on Sept. 27. The Lakers are expected to sign Ryan Kelly, who was drafted 48th overall out of Duke. But Kelly is currently rehabbing from foot surgery in April and it’s unclear when he’ll be fully healthy. The Lakers have also invited Marcus Landry to training camp after after leading the team’s summer league in scoring. Los Angeles Daily News
