The Cavaliers and Wolves have had an agreement in place on Love for weeks and it remains intact, sources said. That trade, which morphed into a three-way deal with the Philadelphia 76ers that will send Thaddeus Young to Minnesota, is expected to be completed on Saturday. ESPN.com

Although nothing can be finalized before Saturday, sources said Thursday that the Wolves are poised to surrender a future first-round pick along with the expiring contracts of Luc Richard Mbah A Moute and Alexey Shved to the Sixers for Young, who has two seasons left on his deal valued at $19.4 million. The Wolves, sources said, already have verbally agreed to acquire Wiggins, 2013's No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett and a future first-round pick from the Cavs for Love. Minnesota would then have the option of flipping that first-rounder to Philadelphia, along with Mbah A Moute and Shved, for Young. ESPN.com

Adrian Wojnarowski: For Sixers, Mbah a Moute value comes with his close relationship with Joel Embiid. Rookie needs mentorship; Moute will be counted on for it. Twitter @WojYahooNBA

Embiid was not considered a lottery pick entering the season, but quickly made his way up the draft boards with his ability to score in the post and also change the game on the defensive end. He's only been playing basketball for a few years. Embiid told ESPN earlier in the season that he was "strongly considering" returning to Kansas for his sophomore campaign. However, sources told ESPN that he was advised to come out after this season, especially after suffering the back injury. One of his key advisors is countryman and Minnesota Timberwolves forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. ESPN.com

That said, Love admitted that making a personnel change during the season can be difficult. “It’s pretty tough,” Love said. “I would say it would be a little bit more tough had D-Will been a starter or something, playing 25-, 30-plus minutes a night. But it’s always tough losing somebody. I really enjoyed having D-Will around. And, like I mentioned, Sacramento will enjoy him. But having Luc, he’ll come in and fit in immediately.’’ Minneapolis Star-Tribune
