This year, the magazine chose the sexiest man from each 50 states. The spread was called the "United States of Sexy," probably after an intense newsroom debate over other names like "U.S(exy).A", "Stars, Stripes and Sexy" or "Any Excuse to Show Channing Tatum shirtless." It included stars like Jon Hamm (Missouri), Patrick Dempsey (Maine) and Ne-Yo (Nevada). Brady got the nod from Michigan, Ohno won from Washington, Mario Chalmers was the representative from Alaska and, in the biggest upset of all, Tim Tebow was not named Florida's sexiest man. We'll have to wait for ESPN to release its own list, I guess. USA Today

So, you think Mario Chalmers receives wisecracks from LeBron James but never gives them back? Think again. Chalmers had fun with LeBron last night about LeBron's wardrobe choice for the Miami-Florida State game at SunLife Stadium. Chalmers on LeBron's shirt: "Where did you get that shirt, from the Miccosukees?" Here's a picture of the taken, taken by the Associated Press at the game. Chalmers, LeBron, Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem attended the game. LeBron is a fan of Florida State, so maybe there really was a point to his American Indian-like T-shirt. Miami Herald

While James was completely spent, Mario Chalmers was obviously full of energy. He bounced around, cracking jokes and enjoying the night. He looked down from the balcony and spotted Udonis Haslem, rolling into the party about two hours late. “U.D. is here,” Chalmers said. “It’s on now.” Miami Herald

Teammates have not been shy about ripping Mario Chalmers on the court, whenever they believe the point guard has made a mistake. At media day, Mario Chalmers said he hoped they would “tone it down.” When he heard that, LeBron James’ ears perked up. “If he’s grown up in the last year, then it will tone down,” James said, laughing. “It’s that simple. If he doesn’t want that type of reaction from me or—” Palm Beach Post

Rajon Rondo recently said that he's the NBA’s top point guard. What are your thoughts on that, and where do you think you rank among all the point guards in the NBA? Chalmers: "He's not the best, but he's in the top five. There are a lot of great point guards in the league, Deron Williams, Chris Paul and Steve Nash. There are a lot of great guards in the NBA so for him to say he's the best is a pretty bold statement. I'd say that I am in the front end of the top 10." Chicago Tribune

GQ: Kyrie Irving told us that Steve Nash was the hardest person he's had to guard? Mario Chalmers: Yeah. He lit me up for thirty one time in Miami. But with a player like that, you've just got to try to keep a body on them and hope they have an off night. You can't control a superstar that has an ultimate green light. That's impossible. GQ: Who's the one point guard in the league that you least look forward to guarding? Mario Chalmers: Chris Paul. It's always CP. I've never seen somebody get so many ball screens in my life. That's one person that I make sure I eat good, get a good night's sleep before I play him. I always make sure I'm ready for CP. GQ.com

Mario Chalmers: He's somebody that I've always been a big fan of ever since the movie He Got Game. Ever since I saw that, I've always been a Ray Allen fan. But, you know, he's a great addition to our team. Adding a great shooter like that, it's going to give everybody more space. GQ.com

You can pick up any free agent. Who would you pick up? Mario Chalmers: Any player that's in the free agency right now? And we've got the same team we've got right now? I'm definitely going after Dwight. Some type of big man. That's the only thing we're lacking is a dominant big. GQ.com

Does D-Wade still paint his toenails black? Mario Chalmers: Yeah. Matter of fact, he just did it yesterday. We were texting and he told me he was painting his toenails. He does it every summer. I don't know why. GQ.com

Chris Bosh: “I’m sure I’ll be playing a lot more five. It’s kind of cool because I can say, ‘I’m the starting center for NBA champions.’’’ When Bosh said, that he changed his voice in a funny manner Heat held team a party Sunday with James Jones as roast-master. Jones' zingers for Mario Chalmers included: "Mario, we love all your technical fouls at all the wrong times." "Mario, we love your two early fouls." "Mario, we love how you call a play and then forget it by the time your dribble across midcourt." Sulia

Privately, LeBron jokingly mocks Chalmers for everything from his sneakers -- Chalmers has a deal with Spalding, which is apparently making shoes now and not just basketballs (who knew?) -- to his taste in food. Publicly, which is basically limited to the basketball court, you'd think they hated each other. "I know there's a better way sometimes to express the way I feel on the floor," James said. "But sometimes in the heat of the battle, I feel like he can take it. I know he can take it. That's why I do it that way. "Rio's one of the toughest guys. He's got a hard shell, so he doesn't let much get to him." ESPN.com
