The Miami Heat now have 15 players under contract, with Friday's announcement of the signings of center Mickell Gladness and forward Jarvis Varnado. Gladness spent the start of last season with the Heat before finishing the season with the Golden State Warriors. Rookie Mickell Gladness -- a 6-foot-11, 220-pound center -- will be sticking around after his 10-day contract expires. He is expected to sign with Golden State for the remainder of the season on Sunday, in time for him to play against the host Los Angeles Lakers. The Golden State Warriors have signed free agent center Mickell Gladness to a 10-day contract, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released. Gladness, 25, made his NBA debut this season as a member of the Miami Heat, appearing in eight games over two different stints with the club. The 6’11” center made the Heat’s opening night roster and appeared in three games before being waived on February 7.
