Now playing basketball on film in this, you have to convincingly look like a player but you also have to deal with camera setups and all of that. What is the different discipline of playing basketball for a TV show, for the TV camera? Baron Davis: You know it’s kind of like playing basketball for Mike Dunleavy. He tells you to do everything out there anyway. You feel like a robot. So I was pretty much used to it. So when we did get in the arena and the cameras were on I was like, "Oh, I’m used to being told what to do every time I dribble the ball so this won’t bother me at all." HitFix

Mike Dunleavy woke up the other day ready to go to work. He went through his normal routine, like any worker might with his meal and his exercise and his commute. Just like Dunleavy has done so many times in the last month. One big difference. Dunleavy got there and could not work. As much as he desperately wanted. As much as his business needed him. “I feel terrible not being out there,” the Bulls starting small forward said late Friday night while standing forlornly in the locker room after the Bulls 99-93 loss in Phoenix, Dunleavy missing his 16th consecutive game with a deep bone bruise. “Whether it’s taking up minutes for guys we don’t need playing the high minutes, doing little things that can help the team win. I feel terrible. I feel really guilty about it. But all I can do now is try to get myself back and get healthy and that’s what I’m focusing on.” NBA.com

With Portland up 61-43 at the 11:40-mark of the third, Bulls forward Mike Dunleavy leveled Blazers point guard with a hard foul on a three-point attempt. Wesley Matthews was quick to defend his teammate, shoving Dunleavy after the foul as the players had to be separated at midcourt. See the video below: Oregonian

Q: How would you describe the foul? Damian Lillard: "Cheap. It was cheap." Q: Safe to say you were angry about it? Lillard: "I've had worse things happen. But that was the last thing I was expecting on a wide-open three-point shot. It was a cheap play. I don't know what else to say about it." Oregonian

The Bulls quickly moved on, working to finalize an agreement with Pau Gasol. League sources said a sign-and-trade acquisition has been discussed with the Lakers in order for the Bulls to land the All-Star center from Spain. Though the Lakers would have to nimbly execute several transactions that started with Friday's agreement to trade for the Rockets' Jeremy Lin, a league source indicated the Bulls have discussed sending Mike Dunleavy and the non-guaranteed contracts of Mike James, Lou Amundsen and Ronnie Brewer to the Lakers.
