Coincidentally, I talked with a person close to him Friday who told me nothing has changed. The Wizards have contacted Allen's representatives at Tandem Sports and Entertainment several times, both reported here. The prospect of being a starter again with Beal's absence isn't likely to make Washington any more enticing for Allen. He'll soon be 40. Six teams have actually contacted his reps since he became an unrestricted free agent -- the Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder and .... the Milwaukee Bucks. Yes, the latter is not a mistake. CSNWashington.com

On the surface, at least, Knight doesn’t seem the least bit distracted by his contract situation. He insists he's only concerned about building on last season’s breakout campaign. “That’s for agents to do and for the media to talk about,’’ Knight said about his contract situation. “He (Bledsoe) did his thing this year and his agent (Rich Paul) did a great job of getting him that deal. “I’m taking it day by day. I’m not even focusing on that now. Either way, I’m going to play well this season like I played well last season.’’ Racine Journal-Times

Knight, an extremely confident but not cocky sort, firmly believes it’s the latter. “I do. Of course,’’ Knight responded when asked if he considered himself an upper-echelon caliber player. “I’m not going to sit here and tell you I’m not. I think I've showed I can play with the best of them. “If I went down a list, I don’t think there’s anything I can’t do on the court.’’ Racine Journal-Times

Earlier this week 25-year-old twin forwards Markieff and Marcus Morris of the Phoenix Suns signed four-year extensions of $32 million and $20 million, respectively. "He's a piece we want here," Bucks coach Jason Kidd said Wednesday, referring to Knight. "You talk about his work ethic, the way he approaches the game, he's a professional, on and off the court. "I'm not here to get in the way of anyone's success. I want everyone to have the ultimate goal of winning and being financially set. Our job as coaches is to help them achieve that goal." Chris Wright is one of the options Panathinaikos is considering to close the roster for this upcoming season, according to sources. Wright has played 32 games in the NBA with Warriors and Bucks averaging 3.7 points and 2 rebounds. Sportando
