“There’s been a lot of second pick busts,” Parker said Saturday morning, at the grand opening of the redesigned Jordan space inside Nike Chicago. “I’m just trying not to be that bust. Everyday that I step on the court, I just remind myself that I have a long ways to go. If I want to be one of those guys in the first tier of the NBA, like a LeBron, like a Kobe, like a [Blake Griffin], then I have to have that mentality starting off from the ground, and work my way up.” NBCSports.com

It is unlikely that the Bucks and Knight reach an extension unless it’s a landslide in Milwaukee’s favor. Both sides have talked and the Bucks say they want to keep him so a deal is very possible. It’s going to come down to the math and that may not get decided until this summer. Basketball Insiders

Alexander Lasry appears to have taken a job in the Bucks' front office, this according to, well...Alexander. The son of Bucks' co-owner Marc Lasry recently updated his LinkedIn profile and added the title of Vice President of Strategy and Operations to his list of work experience. The job just started this month, according to his account. It is unclear at the moment would the position's duties entail, though Alexander's degree in Business from New York University and Penn may suggest that this role may be more business-oriented than anything else. Marc Lasry had made no secret of his desire for his son to join the Bucks in some capacity, and it looks like he's convinced his son to become part of the team sooner than expected. Brew Hoop

They could get a steal at a veteran's minimum salary (around $915,000) if Marshall can continue his upward trend. "He got a great opportunity with the Lakers and made the most of that," Bucks general manager John Hammond said. "When he describes himself as a pass-first guard, that's close to an understatement. "He has tremendous vision, similar to the coach he's playing for. He can throw over the top to bigs, he can throw ahead in transition and he also can penetrate and break down a defense."
