A number of executives view the Denver Nuggets as prime sellers between now and the trade deadline, and it makes sense. The Nuggets are stocked with talented, reasonably priced role players, but they lack a single star player to carry them. Wilson Chandler and Timofey Mozgov, both acquired in the Carmelo Anthony trade in 2011, have garnered a ton of interest, per rival executives. Bleacher Report

The Cavaliers have also asked about Nuggets center Timofey Mozgov, but were rebuffed. Denver would probably make JaVale McGee available, but no one would touch him and his $11 million contract. McGee is long and could be a major shot-blocker, but he doesn’t have the necessary mettle needed on a championship team. News-Herald

The only official piece of business left out there is the matter of picking up the team option for next season on center Timofey Mozgov's contract. That can be done at any time until June 29. The deadline date of many of those, however, are individually negotiated. In any case, the Nuggets are expected to pick up the team option on Mozgov's contract, which will pay him nearly $5 million next season, the final year of his current contract. He would then be a restricted free agent in the summer of 2016. Denver Post

While playing defense, Kaman backed into Mozgov in an effort to box him out as a Denver player attempted a shot from the perimeter. But as Kaman pushed Mozgov, the 7-foot-1 center toppled on Kaman's back and chomped down on his head with his teeth. "I went back pretty hard and I must've hit him in the chest," Kaman said, retelling the story. "He kind of folded over and his teeth went down on my head." Oregonian

Kaman instantly cupped his head, felt a gash and blood. He was pulled from the game and taken to the locker room, where he was given three stitches. After the game, he was wearing a big bandage on his balding head, but said he felt "pretty good." "It happened so fast, I was like, 'What the heck?" Kaman said. "I felt his teeth kind of crush me in and I was like, 'Crap, I know I'm going to need some stitches." Oregonian

During the past calendar year, Mozgov arguably has been the Nuggets' most-coveted trade asset. Teams called last winter and throughout the summer. That's not likely to change, because with a $4.6 million salary, Mozgov is one of the best bangs for the buck in the NBA. Denver Post

They like Timofey Mozgov, but the Nuggets have shown no inclination to deal him. There doesn’t appear to be a trade available for any sort of rim protector right now, so the Cavs may look to bundle the trio of players they received from Utah (John Lucas III, Erik Murphy and Malcolm Thomas) in exchange for a trade exception to be used later.
