![]() Veteran point guard Beno Udrih also joined the Magic in the Harris deal, and he said that Harris' stellar performance didn't surprise him. "When I was in Milwaukee with him, I always knew he had the potential and talent to be a great player. And in Milwaukee, I think they were just holding him back," Udrih said. "They didn't give him a real chance to show what he can do. "Here, he got a chance and he's definitely proving himself and taking advantage of the chance." Orlandoinstripedpost.com |

The Magic's overall ATH score is 0.913, which is comfortably behind the New Orleans Hornets' mark of 0.926 for last in the league. Orlando's most athletic players are rookie forward Maurice Harkless, second-year forward Tobias Harris, and veteran big man Glen Davis. Entering Wednesday's games, Harkless ranked as the league's 120th most athletic player. No other team in the league had its most athletic player ranked so low overall; the Philadelphia 76ers, with gadget forward Thaddeus Young (85th in the league), came closest to matching the Magic in this respect. Harris admitted he did not expect to be traded by the Bucks in the Feb. 21 deal which brought veteran guard J.J. Redick to Milwaukee. Beno Udrih and Doron Lamb also went to Orlando in the trade. "Hearing you're a key asset to the team and part of the team's future, yeah, I was surprised," Harris said. "But I know it's a business. It's part of the game. "You can't hold your head too long. And I knew the situation in Orlando was a good situation for me." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

Another Magic player appeared on the court wearing Howard's old No. 12: Tobias John Harris. Harris played his first game since arriving from the Milwaukee Bucks in a multiplayer trade last week for J.J. Redick, scoring 14 points and blocking three shots against the Cleveland Cavaliers. "I've heard a lot about that because it's Dwight Howard's number," Harris said, managing a laugh. The Magic had planned to one day hang Howard's No. 12 in the rafters. But his departure created a rebuild and a chain reaction that eventually led to Redick's trade, which delivered Harris and two other of his Bucks teammates (Beno Udrih and Doron Lamb). "I was surprised by the move, but at the same time, I knew it was a better situation for me to join a young nucleus here," he said. Orlando Sentinel |

Tobias Harris tried to do some drills Sunday morning but could barely raise his right arm over his head. So the Bucks rookie forward will not be able to play as Milwaukee faces the New Jersey Nets on Sunday night at the Prudential Center. Veteran Drew Gooden is not with the team as he continues his recovery from a sprained right wrist. Both players are listed as day-to-day. Rookie Jon Leuer again will get a start at center after lasting just 7 minutes against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic on Friday in the Bucks' 94-85 defeat. Leuer, Larry Sanders and Jon Brockman should get the center minutes against the Nets' Brook Lopez, making his first appearance (and first start) of the season after missing 32 games with a fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot. Harris was injured when he ran smack into the Magic's Howard, who was setting a screen during the fourth quarter Friday. And it came moments after Harris had converted a three-point play to give the Bucks a 10-point lead. They were outscored, 22-3, the rest of the way. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

Me: What are the doctors telling you right now? Tobias Harris: Basically, it's this thing, what you can quote is dehydration. But it's not as easy as just drinking water and getting it done. It's a thing they don't have a lot of research on, but they're checking my CK [creatine kinase] levels. Basically, my levels are pretty high, and it's a rare thing. Anytime you work out your levels are going to go up, your CK levels. So it's a thing that I've just got to wait on, have patience with, and just try to get through. Me: How hard is that? TH: It's real hard. You know, because I feel perfectly fine. I feel like I can play in a game, do whatever, practice. And I can't practice. It's tough. And I can't play. It's real tough, not being able to play as a rookie right now. Hopefully, good things will come soon. NBA.com Me: How old were you when you worked out with George Gervin? TH: I was about seventh grade. I might have been 13, 14 ... that was my dad's, he was his agent at the time. Basically, we just worked out. It was a great experience for me, just to learn. Each summer I worked with him a bit also, so it was just great. Me: What did you learn from him? TH: Not the finger roll. But you can learn a lot from Gervin just by talking to him. You learn a lot about the game, how to approach the game, the mental aspects of it. He just taught me a lot of patented moves, moves that he had done during games. NBA.com |

Bucks rookie Tobias Harris was working with the coaching staff on the Staples Center floor before Saturday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. It was a good sign, and Bucks coach Scott Skiles confirmed in his pre-game remarks that the 6-foot-8 rookie would make his NBA debut. But Harris will be limited to just 10 minutes in his first action since overcoming dehydration and muscle soreness. "He's had very limited practice time," Skiles said. "I'll talk to Tobias, too, and see if we want to play him 9 consecutive minutes, or five and five. A lot of it will be game-dependent, too. "We look at him as an important part of the team, though. We need to get him back and playing consistently. He does a bunch of things very well. He can shoot it. He can handle the ball; he's got good size. He has pro athleticism, which is something we need. "He can go down in the post on smaller people. He's got a bunch of tools to work with." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

Tobias Harris had to wait all those extra days to get his career started while players and owners negotiated a new labor deal. But the 19-year-old Milwaukee Bucks forward never anticipated he would still be waiting. Harris suffered from dehydration after a practice session early in training camp and was taken to the hospital, where he stayed for two nights. Now he is having his blood levels monitored daily while waiting for full clearance from team doctors. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Harris was able to do shooting drills and take part in some of the non-contact portions of practice Thursday, and he stayed late to do some work with assistant Bill Peterson. But it has been a frustrating time for the former Tennessee player, selected 19th overall by the Bucks in the June draft. "When you sit out that many days, you can't be in the best of shape," Harris said. "I've just got to stay confident and push through it." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

The Bucks open against the Bobcats and return the next night for their home opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves. "I'd love to train every day, but in the grand scheme of things I don't want to be feeling like I am today on Monday, just by trying to be a hero and train," Bogut said. "I think things will be OK." Other Bucks to miss practice Friday included forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (knee tendinitis), forward Carlos Delfino (sprained right wrist), guard Mike Dunleavy Jr. (illness) and rookie forward Tobias Harris (dehydration issues). Rookies Tobias Harris and Jon Leuer and free agent Darington Hobson also sat out while waiting to get deals signed. Later Friday the Bucks completed the trade with Boston sending veteran guard Keyon Dooling and a protected second-round 2012 pick to the Celtics. The Bucks received the rights to Spanish forward-center Albert Miralles, but he was merely a piece in the trade and not a candidate to join the team. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |
