Veteran point guard Beno Udrih also joined the Magic in the Harris deal, and he said that Harris' stellar performance didn't surprise him. Harris admitted he did not expect to be traded by the Bucks in the Feb. 21 deal which brought veteran guard J.J. Redick to Milwaukee. Beno Udrih and Doron Lamb also went to Orlando in the trade. Harris played his first game since arriving from the Milwaukee Bucks in a multiplayer trade last week for J.J. Redick, scoring 14 points and blocking three shots against the Cleveland Cavaliers. "I've heard a lot about that because it's Dwight Howard's number," Harris said, managing a laugh. The Magic had planned to one day hang Howard's No. 12 in the rafters. But his departure created a rebuild and a chain reaction that eventually led to Redick's trade, which delivered Harris and two other of his Bucks teammates (Beno Udrih and Doron Lamb). Tobias Harris tried to do some drills Sunday morning but could barely raise his right arm over his head. So the Bucks rookie forward will not be able to play as Milwaukee faces the New Jersey Nets on Sunday night at the Prudential Center. Veteran Drew Gooden is not with the team as he continues his recovery from a sprained right wrist. Both players are listed as day-to-day. Rookie Jon Leuer again will get a start at center after lasting just 7 minutes against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic on Friday in the Bucks' 94-85 defeat. Leuer, Larry Sanders and Jon Brockman should get the center minutes against the Nets' Brook Lopez, making his first appearance (and first start) of the season after missing 32 games with a fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot. Harris was injured when he ran smack into the Magic's Howard, who was setting a screen during the fourth quarter Friday. Me: What are the doctors telling you right now? Tobias Harris: Basically, it's this thing, what you can quote is dehydration. But it's not as easy as just drinking water and getting it done. It's a thing they don't have a lot of research on, but they're checking my CK [creatine kinase] levels. Basically, my levels are pretty high, and it's a rare thing. Basically, we just worked out. It was a great experience for me, just to learn. Each summer I worked with him a bit also, so it was just great. Me: What did you learn from him? Bucks rookie Tobias Harris was working with the coaching staff on the Staples Center floor before Saturday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. It was a good sign, and Bucks coach Scott Skiles confirmed in his pre-game remarks that the 6-foot-8 rookie would make his NBA debut. But Harris will be limited to just 10 minutes in his first action since overcoming dehydration and muscle soreness. "He's had very limited practice time," Skiles said. "I'll talk to Tobias, too, and see if we want to play him 9 consecutive minutes, or five and five. A lot of it will be game-dependent, too. "We look at him as an important part of the team, though. We need to get him back and playing consistently. He does a bunch of things very well. He can shoot it. He can handle the ball; he's got good size. He has pro athleticism, which is something we need. Tobias Harris had to wait all those extra days to get his career started while players and owners negotiated a new labor deal. But the 19-year-old Milwaukee Bucks forward never anticipated he would still be waiting. Harris suffered from dehydration after a practice session early in training camp and was taken to the hospital, where he stayed for two nights.
