La La Anthony Rumors

After La La Anthony took to Twitter to defend her husband and question the motives of a referee, Carmelo vowed to stay silent the next time in the presence of Tony Brothers. But he also didn’t deny what his wife had tweeted – that Brothers, a veteran official, is operating with a personal vendetta against the Knicks All-Star. “I have nothing to say to him. It ain’t personal with me, on my end,” Anthony told reporters before scoring 31 points in Saturday’s 118-107 loss to the Raptors. “I don’t have anything to say to him. He refs. I’ll play. I’ll keep my mouth shut next time.”

In La La Anthony’s new book, “The Love Playbook,” she also attempts to clarify the trash-talking feud between Carmelo and former Celtics star Kevin Garnett that led to an altercation — purportedly about crude comments Garnett made about La La — following a game last season. “I wasn’t ever going to bring up the Honey Nut Cheerios incident again. But since I’m writing this book, I might as well set the record straight for good,” La La writes in the book, which was released Tuesday. “Kevin Garnett in fact had never said that I tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios. “. . . Melo and Kevin are cool today. And now it’s nothing but a faint memory. “I did notice during the game Melo and Kevin were jawing a lot at each other. But that’s basketball, the heat of the game. I really didn’t think anything of it,” she continued. “But when Melo went to have words with him, I knew it had to be more than an in-game beef.”

La La Anthony “definitely” thinks her husband, free-agent-to-be Carmelo Anthony, will re-sign with the New York Knicks this summer. “I definitely think he will stay [in New York]. I know that he wants to stay and I support him wherever he wants to go,” La La Anthony said in an interview with Bravo TV’s “Watch What Happens Live.” “Listen, I used to live in Denver with him. If I can live in Denver, I can live anywhere. I just want him to be happy.”
