Rick Adelman Rumors
Former Trail Blazers coach Rick Adelman remembered Jerome Kersey as a gifted athlete who made himself a solid NBA player through hard work. “He had the athletic skills; he could run, he could jump, and he was strong. Every camp he came to — I told him one time, ‘Are you trying to be a linebacker or are you trying to be a basketball player?’ He always came in and worked his tail off,” Adelman said.
Kevin Love is the 6-foot-10, 243-pound elephant in any room where the next Timberwolves coach is being discussed. Coaching the Wolves is a “terrific opportunity,” former NBA coach Mike Fratello said this week, “but so much hinges on what Kevin is going to do.” A coaching search coinciding with the uncertain future of the franchise’s best player is the kind of bad timing that Rick Adelman said he was trying to help the Wolves avoid by stepping down as coach five weeks ago.
Ricky Rubio: “The new coach should be like Rick Adelman. He has to continue with this project. The new coach should be offensive-minded. We have seen improvement under this system.”
Ricky Rubio: It has been a pleasure to play for you my first 3 years in NBA. What an incredible career. #legend… instagram.com/p/nEeb34xdxh/
