Vanessa Bryant Rumors

During the Sports Spectacular event on Sunday night, Kobe announced (via remote video) that he was teaming up with Sports Spectacular to help eradicate homelessness. Kobe, who’s been fighting homelessness in Los Angeles along with his wife and the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Foundation, wasn’t able to be at the event (something about a torn Achilles), but was still excited to share the news.
Vanessa Bryant has long been annoyed by that rap line. Earlier this month she posted to Instagram her thoughts on the song. “I love when immature kids quote a rapper that has never been friends with Kobe and knows nothing about our relationship. Just shows how gullible they are. I don’t need to be in the gym. I’m raising our daughters, signing checks and taking care of everything else that pertains to our home life. “I really wish people would stop THINK and then realize that they are being sucked into someone’s clear intention to monetize and gain attention off of our family’s heartache. This is real life. I hold down our home life so my husband can focus on his career. It’s a partnership.
After Vanessa filed for divorce in 2011, rapper Drake said in the song “Stay Schemin’ ” that Vanessa didn’t deserve a large sum of Bryant’s fortune because “…you wasn’t with me shootin’ in the gym.” That line became an instant hit and has often been repeated by Bryant’s fans. On Monday morning, after Bryant tweeted about he and his wife drinking some coffee and tea, a fan replied saying, “but….. #SheWasntWithYouShootingInTheGym” Bryant immediately defended his wife. “no, she wasn’t. She was busy raising our kids #nonanny #respectmothers,” Bryant posted to his Twitter account.
What were Kobe Bryant and Bill Clinton doing hanging out on Monday night? … Bryant and his wife Vanessa joined former president Bill Clinton in Hollywood on Monday to commemorate the renovation of Step Up on Vine, a housing project for the homeless. The Bryant’s have been heavily involved in tackling homelessness in Los Angeles in the last couple years, also volunteering at the homeless shelter for teens, My Friend’s Place and getting behind HomeWalk L.A.
Kobe Bryant is NOT getting divorced, because Vanessa Bryant says so … She will file legal docs to dismiss her divorce petition. TMZ broke the story … Vanessa — through her lawyer, disso-queen Laura Wasser — filed to end her marriage in December, 2011. Several months later … Kobe — in an attempt to win her back — deeded over his interest in their 3 Newport Beach mansions. Since she filed, Vanessa and Kobe were on-again, off-again like high school students.
Kobe Bryant’s wife just lost one-third of her real estate portfolio … unloading one of the three Newport Beach mansions Kobe gave her right after they split back in 2011 … TMZ has learned. We broke the story … Vanessa Bryant listed the 6,000 sq. ft. Newport Beach property back in September for $3.75 million — and she finally closed the deal this month for $3.22 million. Kobe and Vanessa purchased the place back in 2003 for $2.65 million. Vanessa’s mother Sofia was living in the home prior to the sale.
Kobe offered Vanessa’s Instagram for public consumption via his Facebook. One of Vanessa’s messages: “Treat melike a Queen, and I’ll treat you like a King. Treat me like a game, and I’ll show you how it’s played.” Her profile description is “Proud mommy of 2 smart, kind, beautiful and loving little girls. Philanthropist, wife, loving mommy & loyal friend. Mexican, Italian & Filipino.”
But the 30-year-old made it clear that she had no intention of showcasing her family’s antics with the world, during an interview with Giuliana Rancic’s lifestyle site, Said Vanessa when questioned on the prospect of a reality TV show, ”Absolutely 100% no. Kobe and I were approached to do a reality show after Nick and Jessica started Newlyweds, then they wanted my friend La-La and I to do one, years ago. ”I really enjoy my privacy and I love being my goofy and sarcastic self with family and friends. I certainly don’t want to enable people to think they have a significant opinion on what goes on in my life,” she added.
Now, Vanessa tells TMZ … “I’m sad to hear that comments in my New York Magazine interview are being misconstrued and taken out of context. I have and will continue to support my husband’s dreams.” Vanessa continues, “I have been with Kobe for 13 years. I accepted his marriage proposal PRIOR to him winning any of his 5 championships with his teammates.” “For anyone to think otherwise is wrong. It is not about being married to a ‘winner’ it is about our sacrifice as a family. “
Do her daughters like watching the games? I ask. “No, not really,” she says. “It’s two and a half hours, and it’s their dad, and you have to think about their point of view—would your child want to sit there and watch either you or your spouse work?” Do you like it? “Oh, yes,” she says. “I love basketball. And I know what goes on behind the scenes, so I have a different perspective on things, but still, I do. I certainly would not want to be married to somebody that can’t win championships. If you’re sacrificing time away from my family and myself for the benefit of winning championships, then winning a championship should happen every single year.”
Sources close to Vanessa Bryant tell us she is “furious” and “embarrassed” over the photos — one of Kobe chatting up 2 women at an afterparty last week in Barcelona … the other showed him hanging with 2 different women in a nightclub. But we’re told Vanessa’s anger is NOT because she thinks Kobe cheated … instead she’s mad that he put himself in situations where the photos could be taken.
We’ve learned Kobe and Vanessa are trying to work out the issues that caused her to file for divorce back in December. They spend a lot of time together but he has not officially moved back in with her. Under California law, Vanessa has to wait 6 months before she can file final docs making the divorce official. The 6-month mark hits this weekend, so Vanessa could end the marriage as early as Monday … but we know she won’t.
Kobe Bryant’s pain ended up being charity’s gain. The Los Angeles Lakers guard auctioned off the mask he wore this season after breaking his nose and suffering a concussion in the NBA All-Star Game to raise money for the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation. The auction ended Tuesday with a winning bid of $67,100. The opening bid was $250, and there were 129 total bids. Bryant also autographed the mask before putting it up for auction.
The apparent lack of a prenuptial agreement — coupled with 10 years of marriage — will likely significantly increase the size of Vanessa Bryant’s divorce settlement with Kobe Bryant, legal experts said. Vanessa Bryant’s mother told The Times several years ago that the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement when they tied the knot in 2001. If true, that would entitle Vanessa to half of their community property.
The impending divorce between Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa Bryant has neighbors in the posh Newport Coast section of Newport Beach wondering if the NBA star will stay in the area. Bryant is a familar face in the area. At La Fogata Rotisserie Chicken, one of Bryant’s favorite Corona del Mar eateries, Susie DiGiovanna said she feels bad for the couple’s two daughters, ages 5 and 8. “I just think it’s really sad — for the children and for the fans,” she said.
As one source puts it, “She’s been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she’s finally had enough,” adding, “This one is the straw that broke the camel’s back.” And our sources say … Kobe “desperately” wants to win Vanessa back and will do “whatever it takes” to save their 10 1/2 year marriage. According to the legal docs, Vanessa is asking for joint custody of their 2 daughters — 8-year-old Natalia and 5-year-old Giana — but Vanessa is asking that Kobe get visitation rights, which means she wants the kids in her care most of the time.
Earlier this week, In Touch Weekly reported that Khloe Kardashian was involved in a bitter feud with fellow Lakers wife, Vanessa Bryant. The wife of Kobe Bryant, Vanessa is a fixture at NBA games throughout the year. And according to In Touch, she was less than enthusiastic when Khloe started showing up to watch husband Lamar Odom from the sidelines. Vanessa has recently stepped forward to set the record straight with Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier. “I have been a Laker wife for the past 10 years and I’ve never had an issue with anyone, especially any of the Laker wives,” says Vanessa. “Celebrating your first NBA championship is an exciting time, I know because I’ve shared five along with my husband. My focus will remain spending quality time with my husband and children this summer. I look forward to supporting the Lakers on their quest for another championship next season.”
