HoopsHype Boston Celtics twitter
It's so important to know up front that challenges exist in almost anything we r trying to accomplish. Worthwhile is often preceded by hard!
Nothing in the Boston area is the Brooklyn of anything.
or more like Jerry Quarry? George Chuvalo?
Was Cavs/Celtics series like Ali/Joe Bugner fight (Just wanted to go the distance) or Ali/Foreman (Rope-A-Dope) to you?
Olynyk/Love play fairly simple: It was a dirty play; he didn't intentionally hurt him, but it wasn't clean. No sense debating any further.
Now it's time to crack open a beer and watch Game of Thrones. It was a fun season, y'all.
TNT's "gone fishing" for the Celtics had pirate Kelly Olynyk holding Kevin Love's arm: http://t.co/9MsinYeZ4o
Love Wojo. Like Kevin Love. But...premature and IMHO, illogical that Olynyk incident would influence Love's FA decision making
As much as this Celtic team likes each other and playing together - it is destined to change in large ways.
Imagine if social media had been around for Paul Pierce's earlier playoff runs. His Instagram during the 2008 Finals would've been epic.
Paul Pierce is not against reminding teams he just ruined them.
Seriously, if you were trying to hurt someone, would you tug on his arm? Probably not, right?
Even if Olynyk meant to pull Love, a ridiculous stretch to think he planned to yank the arm out of its socket or cause injury in any way.
Olynyk is the guy who responded to Hassan Whiteside's cheap shot by saying Whiteside is "a good human being" and wishing Whiteside the best.
The Paul Pierce thing with Toronto players/fans the past two years is "truly" tremendous. http://t.co/oJhiIbfi0d
After game in which he was replaced as a starter by Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart was asked what kept Cs motivated w/ 3-0 deficit: "Jae Crowder"
See you again soon, Garden... http://t.co/BtEVp1WXUl
Perk never expected he would be booed in Garden: "Yeah, that was surprising, but I know they still love me."
Kevin Love rips Kelly Olynyk for his "bush league" foul. http://t.co/2vb4pD45YJ
Bradley on Cs: "It shows with any group of guys, if you buy into Brad's system and his philosophies, you'll have a chance to be successful"
So which team exactly was playing in Game 3? Jekyll and Hyde Clippers.
Marcus Smart: “On a young team like ours that’s supposed to be rebuilding, the ceiling is high. It’s on us to keep working.”
Austin Rivers proving to parents everywhere that coaching your kids can be a good thing.
Say what you want, but Austin Rivers is playing his best basketball for his dad.
Evan Turner on standing ovation after final buzzer: “That’s legit, man. There’s no sugar-coating on that type of emotion.”
LeBron James: "The Celtics gave us the test that we needed."
Hanno meritato. Giocare con questi ragazzi, per questa città è questa squadra è stato un onore. Grazie a tutti per il supporto e l'affetto.
Bass doesn't know what'll happen w/contract: "Boston’s been great to me over the last couple years so it’d be great for me to come back."
They deserved it. Playing with these guys, for this city and for this organization it has been an honor. Thanx y'all for the support and love
LeBron on the Celtics: "I highly respect their coaching staff, and especially their head coach."
Crowder initially diagnosed with left knee sprain. Will undergo MRI either tonight or tomorrow morning to confirm no structural damage.
Brad Stevens on Garden fans: "That crowd is as good as it gets, and the longer that you play, I cant imagine what it would be like."
Brad Stevens: "We have to get better. We have to get better in every which way, and that’s the challenge."
Evan Turner comes to Kelly Olynyk's defense on Love injury. Says he can't box out anyone. http://t.co/Gse4KjNeey
More J.R. Smith: "There was nothing malicious about it. I didn't try to do anything to hurt him or anybody else."
Said Turner: "Kelly can’t box out to save his life. No joke. He boxes our teammates out like all the time in practice."
J.R. Smith: "I tried to swing my arm loose thinking it was the best way to try to get my arm up in position to rebound and we made contact."
Kevin Love on Kelly Olynyk causing injury: "I thought it was a bush-league play...I have no doubt in my mind that he did that on purpose."
Turner defends Olynyk: "Kelly doesn’t have a mean bone in his body… With a star player it looks bad, but Kelly’s not that type of dude."
Blatt on whether Olynyk's play was dirty: "I don't think it's in the character of Olynyk to do that, but I hope not."
LeBron did not seem to want to give much credit to Jae Crowder, but called Stevens one of the NBA's great young coaches.
Love said he has no doubt Olynyk was trying to hurt him. Evan Turner: "Nah, that's just the way Kelly boxes out."
Kyrie on Perk: "There’s one person who’s going to come in & put a stop to that, and that’s Perk. He’s going to continue to do what he does."
Irving praised Perkins (who he called "Big Perk") for being veteran he can lean on.
