Sunday, May 19 This is GREAT HOCKEY! Rangers' best players are rising to the occasion but wow do the Bruins have a ton of depth. #NYRBOS
it's easy to say you would wanna be in my shoes .. but everybody ain't built for this ...
Up late working on some Nets season wrap-up stuff that's going to start running on the blog Monday. Think you guys will enjoy it.
Here's the full piece I wrote about Lance Stephenson and Paul George praising Indiana assistant Brian Shaw: m.nypost.com/p/sports/nets/…
Absolutely terrific piece by @Matt Moore on the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony and how their system is unsustainable: cbsprt.co/1894GGT
And Danny Granger isn't Indy's best player, either. A very good player, but clear third behind Paul George and Roy Hibbert.
And he had a pretty rough couple years before this one, too. Pacers were patient and have been rewarded handsomely.
Also, please don't use the "why didn't the Knicks draft Stephenson" thing. Him being in a place like Indiana allowed this to happen.
Stephenson on Shaw: "He gives me the confidence in the game to knock down big shots.”
I should mention when I talked to Lance Stephenson, he credited his development this season to Brian Shaw. Nets expected to interview him.
And, finally, I wonder if Chris Copeland is this year's Gerald Green, a guy who signs a mini-MLE deal this summer and is quickly overpaid.
Sixth, I have no idea what J.R. Smith is going to get this summer. Will be awfully curious. But he did himself no favors with these playoffs
Fifth, I really hope Tyson Chandler was playing through injuries, because he was dreadful in this series. If not, huge issue for Knicks.
My dad wouldn't believe me when I said he wasn't. "He's really great!" my dad kept saying. Couldn't argue with him.
Fourth, my dad watched the game, never watches hoops. Late in 4th quarter, turns to me and says, "Is Stephenson their best player?"
Third, two centers were questioned for the contracts they got last summer: Brook Lopez and Roy Hibbert. Anyone questioning them now?
2nd, bizarre decisions from Woodson. Should've played Copeland more, and should've had JR sitting. He was horrible, especially defensively.
That said, couple of points about the game. First, Knicks fans complaining about refs are silly. The Knicks shot jumpers all game long.
I didn't have Internet access for the second half of the game. Reminded me how much I enjoy being on Twitter watching sports now.

Saturday, May 18 Spectacular block there by Roy Hibbert, sending Melo's dunk back directly in front of the rim. Exciting game.
This double-teaming in the post by the Knicks is silly. They already can't rebound without doing that.
Points I highlighted: close rebounding gap, make 3's, and get to the rim and FT line. So far Knicks are doing none of them.
Here's the story I wrote on how the Nets -- one of two teams to get more than one win in Indy -- did so: m.nypost.com/p/sports/nets/…

Friday, May 17 #Shoutout to my guys at @drinkgt always keeping me hydrated on and off the court!!!! instagram.com/p/ZbwX0uC8Mp/
It's hard to see someone clearing the NBA's new concussion protocols in a three or four day period. A week seems like the earliest timeframe
I am not sure I would be ruling out George Hill for the season. Quite premature. Rest of this series? That's a legitimate question.

Thursday, May 16 David Beckham will retire from soccer, but his star won't stop until he's too old to take his shirt off soa.li/4O9biKH
so he's desert thirsty for the playoffs “@PeterBotte: J.R.: "I'm not worried about Instagram. I'm worried about the playoffs."”
J.R. Smith's response to Rihanna question: "I'm not worried about Instagram. I'm worried about the playoffs."
Tyson Chandler walking pretty gingerly in Knicks locker room. Clearly got banged up pretty good on that late fall.
Looked like an awkward fall for Stephenson that last trip and now he's out of the game. Something to monitor moving forward.
Pacers still within shouting distance, but not sure they're capable of scoring another 10 points in this game, let alone making up 10.
I don't like the Knicks' strategy of doubling Hibbert normally, but hard to argue it against this lineup. He's the only threat out there.
Again, for all the things working against the Pacers, they still are only down 6 with the ball.
Looks like Raymond Felton got his foot/ankle stepped on after diving on the floor for that loose ball. Hobbled off the floor.
It's no coincidence that Raymond Felton has come alive in this game when he's primarily being guarded by DJ Augustin instead of George Hill.
The Pacers are shooting 37 percent from the field and 12-for-22 from the FT line, and still trail by just nine. Should be out of this game.
That's an embarrassing call on Hibbert. Clean block. Now both centers have four fouls. Guess that makes it even?
Pretty awful third foul there for Tyson Chandler. Can't make a mistake like that in the final seconds of the half.
Couple of beautiful post moves for Carmelo inside against Paul George, but he's failed to convert the layup at the end each time.
At Knicks-Pacers tonight. Not surprisingly, in a game Scott Foster is officiating there have been three technicals handed out already.
Vogel says Stephenson and Ben Hansbrough will see time at backup PG. Personally will be surprised if Hansbrough plays at all.
Frank Vogel says Hill suffered the concussion on a collision with Tyson Chandler in the first half of Game 4.
No George Hill is a huge blow for the Pacers. He's an excellent defender and solid player overall - plus the dropoff to Augustin is dramatic
